  1. The RCF speaker I have mentioned is passive.
  2. All these topics about FRFR has got me thinking. On the rare occasions when I have to gig with my own back line one of these setups might be ideal. Has anyone tried a passive speaker with a small class d head? I ask this because I have a TC BQ 500 and am looking at the RCF Art 315 mk 3 at £214 on Thomman. It`s rated at 300 watts which would be ok with the TC or even the ABM I own. It would be used for the odd pub gig without pa support. Normally on a gig like this, I would use my Ashdown 2 x 10 cab with one of the heads. I don`t really have the budget to get a decent powered speaker and was just having a think. Any opinions?
  3. For small gigs the Rumble on it`s own is ideal. Light and powerful and something I really regret moving on. I never used it with an ext cab but I have no doubt that it would be great.
  4. Ah cool. That one has a Laurel fingerboard and I wonder if they stopped making the rosewood ones and have replaced them with these?
  5. Die Bassgitarre steht noch zum Verkauf. Bitte komm und kauf es.
  6. The SS Jag has been binned. I tried to get a new one a few weeks ago and everywhere said they were no longer available so it might need to be a second hand one.
  7. If it`s not being too cheeky, how much commission do they charge if they sell a bass for you?
  8. The man from Sunny Wishaw has mulled it over and has decided to pass so this Germanic piece of loveliness is still available for sale. Don`t be shy now
  9. Now £165 collected from the Royal burgh of Paisley.
  10. I have used it in passive, all you have to do is pull out the tone knob and Bob`s your funny auntie. The active is good if you are using shared backline and need that extra boost to sort out your sound. You are but a hop and a skip form Sunny Paisley and I have an ABM set up you can try the bass through. There is also Tea and mint, yep mint, kit kats* available whilst you have a play. *All the mint kit kats may be gone but an alternative from Aldi`s will be available*
  11. That rubber grip stuff is also handy if you are playing sitting down without a strap. Just put it on your leg and the guitar body will stay in one place and not slide off your strides.
  12. Well guys and gals to say I`m disappointed is an understatement. 1200 bloomin views and not one offer, not even a cheeky I`m so offended you offered me so little for this piece of quality German engineering! So that means either nobody likes it or it`s too expensive. After having a look around at the sort of prices on the market place, I will offer this for a very final price drop to £700, I will go no lower as I`m taking a bit of a drubbing on it already. If it doesn`t go at this price yer all mad!! Or skint. Or maybe you are sick of sunburst and maple? I would much rather meet up to hand over the bass and don`t mind a bit of a drive within reason. Any questions please pm me. Ta!
  13. Hi JoEye. You might not have much luck with the original OP, he hasn`t been back since 2013! Was it something we said?
  14. I bought this new earlier this year for a new project that didn`t go anywhere so it`s just gonna sit here unloved. It`s in as new condition and is as it came from the shop. Specs: "With it's extensive custom circuitry and versatile switching options, the SR300EB can cover a multitude of bases. At the flick of a switch you can enjoy features like series/parallel signal paths, coil tapping (with the Power Tap feature), active EQ boost and cut for Treble, Mid and Bass frequencies and a knob for balancing out the pickups' output. That's a lot of power for the player right at the fingertips! There's also a set of large, powerful PowerSpan double coil pickups loaded into the body for powerful and articulate note playing." Nice SR neck, light weight, great pickups and a good saving on new. Collection or locallish meet up only, no posting and no trades thanks.
  15. Plays like butter... Better than any Fender I`ve played... Really regret selling.... One in one out rule... And all the other guff that people talk when trying to move a bass on
  16. How about a Ibanez Micro? They look cool, even thought about buying one for myself but might look at bit small on me. But ideal for a kid.
  17. Was the one in GG showing in stock? I thought it was but its now showing available to order which means someone bought it. Come on, who bought it??
  18. I have never been sacked but the band dynamics always change when a strong personality comes into a already set up band. Thats if they get away with it of course! My band had 2 passive members who never really opened their mouth and me who didn`t like the way that the new member managed to weasel his way in and basically take over through time. So I left before it got nasty. You have to move on and get back to playing the kind of music you like, it might take a while as I don`t know what the scene is like round your way but it`s got to be better than being unhappy, playing music that isn`t your bag and isn`t the band that you started. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.
  19. They will never amount to anything that lot. GET YER BLOODY HAIR CUT!! Freekin hippies!
  20. No trades just looking for a straight sale. Ta
