Thanks Dad, I thought as much. Need to find one that uses a cable that goes into the transmitter on the strap as I can`t stand those ones that go into the input with that big dongle like thing.
Off to Thomann!!
Our guitar player recently bought a AKG wireless unit for his guitar. It worked really well when he went out into the crowd with no dropout. I`m fed up with standing on cables as I tend to move around a bit when space allows so I`m thinking of getting the same model.
Would it cause any problems with the 2 of us using the same type of units on a gig? I know sod all about these things so forgive me if this is a daft question Link to product below. Ta

I don`t think the pickup and electronic are the same as the US models, some of them have the same electronics as the Sub range according to Lowendlobster.
@Jono Bolton Re the wide ABM head.
I owned a 500 a few years back and speaking to Dave he explained that the "wide boy head" as he called it, was due to Ashdown running out of the normal sized casings and having the casings lying around from the combo`s which are wider so they just stuck the chassis in them.
Simples!
Buy one of the Sterling Sub`s for around £400. Not only are they a really good bass out the box but if you install an EMG pickup with the wiring, a fake transfer if you so desire and either add a set of mutes for the older MM`s to the bridge or try and source a bridge that suits, for an additional £200 - £300 you will have an exc bass.
Add me to the £2000 MM list please!
I recently bought an EMG Geezer Butler P pickup. Passive and comes with all the wiring, all you do is connect the earth with a crimp thing that comes with it. Sounds great in the house but yet to crank it through a loud amp.
I realise that it`s not an active pre but I have owned a couple of active P basses in the past and ended up playing them in passive mode as I though it sounded better.
@martthebass Try Award Session. They will make you any cable quickly, great quality at a decent price. I have been using their cables for years and have never had one fail yet.
Kiss of death I know
We are booked into a well know Glasgow pub in the middle of January, 3 x 45 mins sets for £280. It is our first time there and if we go down well, the next time the money will go up.
Most places in the West of Scotland pay £250 to £300 but some only pay £200 and are taking the p*ss. When I started gigging in 2005, we were getting the same money as we do now, it must be the only industry where inflation seems not to exist.
Fender Player P bass loom and pickup ready to install, you just need to attach the wire from the bridge to the wire from the input. £40 delivered to UK mainland or collect and I will knock off the postage.
