Sarah5string

I'm looking to buy another 5 string. Currently I'm leaning towards the Ibanez BTB 305fm but have yet to go properly guitar shopping and play a few, so just looking for a few recommendations. What I'm after, 5 string Fretted Preferably Active or at least active preamp I pick, never slap or pop. Occasional fingerstyle. I play rock/metal. I like a warm, soft and mellow tone and have a dislike of treble. lol Something that looks cool and original but not OTT I don't like P-basses or Jazz basses. Budget £300-£350 max. Fanks

Well technically he could've heard it... I don't know about anyone else but I mentally read words aloud in my head... so can still 'hear' it...... or maybe I've been listening to the voices a bit too much..

Slapping is great in the right song and placement, overwise it just comes across at showboating. IMHO anyway.

I'm quite lucky... I get a couple of jokey comments but nothing serious. In general both guitarists I play with are totally appreciative of bass... thank god or else I'd have to go all kung foo on their a*ses.
