I think it's more just being out of practice with the track and trying to think too far ahead. Nothing that can't get worked out either way

That's one the reasons I'd considered it. I have anxiety disorders including social anxiety, so having a 'character' helps with that a bit.

I've got the beatbuddy mini and it's great for practice but I wish I'd gotten the 'big' one.

I always wanted to call a band 'Resting Beech Face' while I was in horticulture college. Songs would include 'I've got wood' and 'eye level sticks'. Not sure what our stage names would be though to continue the pun. Although there is a plant called 'Rubus cockburnianus' so that's one covered..

I joined this band who were originally a two piece, and had been using a drop/octave pedal for the 'bass'. they basically gave me free reign to write the bass parts. This is the first time playing this song with them after 3 months of lockdown and having never played with them before. It's not perfect, but for a first rehearsal I was really happy with it. I once joined a band and my then husband managed to manipulate his way into being the drummer (long story short, he was controlling and didn't want me doing anything without him). Needless to say it ended badly and I now refuse to join any band my partner might be involved in and visa versa.
