  1. A boxed and absolutely never used OBP3TK onboard preamp. Price reflects that I have not installed it in an instrument. https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Aguilar_preamps.html https://www.aguilaramp.com/pickup-series/obp-preamps/ Aguilar say: OBP-3 3 BAND, BOOST/CUT 9 OR 18 VOLT ON BOARD PREAMP The OBP-3 is Aguilar’s most flexible onboard preamp design, providing +/-18dB of cut and boost at 40Hz, +/- 16dB of cut and boost at either 400Hz or 800Hz and +/- 16dB of treble cut and boost at 6.5 kHz. The OBP-3 has multiple wiring options, and can be wired with either a push/pull pot OR mini-toggle for midrange frequency selection. OBP-3TK: Includes separate Treble, Mid, and Bass pots, and black mini-toggle switch for Midrange frequency selection. Midrange frequency selections can also be customised using the manual for guidance. MAINLAND UK SHIPPING IS INCLUDED - INSURED AND TRACKED.
  2. Hi Jeff! Yes they have arrived on our shores and a new batch came in this week. I know as one has just arrived with me ready for a full video review for Bass Gear Magazine! Bass Direct were advertising just the other day too.
  3. I'm just having a think about the various (countless) pedals I have video reviewed over the years and which ones were notable for their flexible tones. I liked the GR Bass distortion, the EBS as previously mentioned. I tell ya a great pedal that you wouldn't usually associate with mid frequency drive: the Tech 21 Steve Harris pedal does a superb grit when you get it in its sweet spot. The Darkglass Vintage pedals on low settings are good and you'd do well to give Barefaced's Machinist a whirl as it has the ability to parallel blend fuzz, distortion and clean low end together. It's a bit pedal though off you need space on your board. The Orange Bass Butler sounds great and, well, if you have deep pockets, Neural DSP's Quad Cortex will do everything you want and a whole lot more, but that's outside of requirements!
  4. Now that is a great lil pedal! Alex Lofoco sent over his very own pedal for the review and, understandably wasn't about to not let me keep hold of it for a bit! Here's the video and review: https://www.bassgearmag.com/secret-efx-omnia-bass-drive-alex-lofoco-signature-pedal/
  5. A notification on this post today has reminded me that I have posted no pictures of the finished article! Best I get on and do that!
  6. There's some really cool tricks up the Sheehan pedals have up their sleeves. Using the sends alone on the effects loops you can split the signal and send it off to separate paths or even different amps.
  7. Absolutely this! It's all in the mids. I use the Sheehan Deluxe, put it on a low gain setting and then for a cabinet sim, the Mooer / Fender Micro DI. You might not even need an EQ. The compressor on the Deluxe is lovely in the 'mid' setting too.
  8. Send me a PM and let me know your location that I am sending too etc and we'll see what we can do! :)
  9. CASTER looks great for those streaming https://gingeraudio.com/groundcontrol-caster/
  10. I've just installed the free apps available from Ginger Audio. For those running multiple interfaces and speakers, even the free version of ROOM has become immediately helpful, I am tempted to upgrade to Pro. https://gingeraudio.com/groundcontrol-room/
  11. I always try to pick the 5 if I have only one option, but on occasion, I’ve only been able to get the 4 string version due to availability. In a perfect world I’d have both over.
  12. I've video reviewed a "real" Elrick NJS 5 and am going to see if I can get the Cort version in for a spin to see how it compares. The videos seem a little thin on the ground out there at the moment, but my initial thoughts are that it could be quite a nice bass. The Cort Modern 4 and Cort A5 Ultra are super nice basses, so the NJS should be too.
  13. It's happening here, right now! I'm supposed to be writing music for my next gear review!!
  14. Maybe they're actually out practicing rather than us here sitting talking about it 🤣
  15. Hi @Vin Venal! Yes indeed! That’s me! Thank you so much for the very kind words! I’ve since left Guitar Interactive (after having recording over 400 videos for them) and I now shoot video reviews for Bass Gear Magazine! I’ll be endeavouring to do better videos from my own personal studio! it will allow me freedom to create better content! I’ve also been a contributor over at Bass Player Magazine with my own column every month! Dan.
  16. And, congratulations, of course!!!
  17. Here's my 76! I love the natural + RW look Mine's an Ash body and is 10lbs too. Nothing a big fat padded strap cant handle
  18. I also found that I could run very hot pickups in to the high gain input for tons more output level without fearing the front end distorting. Gobs of clean power for not much money.
  19. I have a funny feeling that at some point this is going to become a meme, it appears in my inbox often now 😂🥰
  20. incidentally , just to others help, the LH1000 bridges it’s full output in to 4 ohms - and, when measured properly, dumps out 1100W RMS in to said load. The power supply is hefty and definitely delivers a weighty sound. Although it isn’t advertised or suggested, technically each 500W module in the LH can handle 2 ohms (hence the 4 ohm bridge capability). /geek
  21. True story: At school I told my careers advisor in front of my whole class I wanted to ve a session musician. She replied, “That’s all well and good Daniel, but what will you do for a real job?” In your face lady! My bass has been solely paying all of my bills for many, many years now and has been my obsession for over 35 years (as those who have seen my reviews know!)
  22. The two outputs on the amplifier are wired together in parallel, it doesn't matter if you cable as a daisy chain or to each cabinet separately, the internal loading on the amplifier will still be the same
