    Yes, I do travel quite a lot. Especially Romford and Kent atthe moment. However I have two in the queue who want to see the Bass tomorrow. I will update to let you all know if it's still here after then. I guess it's unlikely judging by the interest!

Bass is 'in' the mix so you will need decent speakers or decent earphones. I try to be tasteful and not walk all over everything else. The main motif of the song is a hypnotic root-5th-Octave tap, but playing the part in octaves with both hands on the board. Used to sound amazing through FOH with subs the rest is just chords in the bass line and the mid section is an octave tap. Though for some reason, you can't hear the fourth note per round lol! Bizarre!

    Rumbled Paul!! Maybe this time I'll have learnt my lesson ey!! Good grief I have indeed had a lot of gear pass through my mits. The Epifani UL610 was indeed a beautiful piece of kit! Do you still have it? I think I'm a sucker for a cab that can shift air! This XL612 has a lot in common tonally with the pair of ND410s cabs I had ( Tech Soundsystems) . I guess i missed those alot and when Mick advertised this one at such a good price, I couldn't resist! I rather like the 12" speakers. It looks like a right beast!

So, I'm going to let it go as a bit of a clear out. Bolt On Maple neck w/ Maple fretboard with MOP-like block inlays, flame Maple top under a burst finish. MM pickup and active two band preamp with bass and treble cut/boost. Quick release battery compartment. Individual monorail quick-release bridge pieces. I'm based in Norwich and if you collect, you can have this bass for a total crazy bargain of just £100! now, it has a ding or few on it, that I will photograph for you and that's really the only reason for letting it go so cheap. A great 'spare' bass. It does a fantastic MM impression at a fraction of the price! Pictures coming up. Also selling a MarkBass F1 and a Hartke 4.5XL, both stupidly cheap!

    Hi all! It's time for a clear out at Dood Towers and I am swapping some bits in and out. It's an opportunity to grab a bargain! I have a pair of Hartke 4.5 XL cabs and really only need one for the majority of stuff I am doing. I'm therefore letting this one go. I've had the 1/4" jacks and plastic cover upgraded to a nice metal plate with two speakon connectors. I have also fitted four high quality 100mm rubber wheels to the cab too, for ease of transportation. The 4.5XL cab is probably my all time fave cabinet.. But I also favour having space at my rather compact and bijou abode!!! I'd suggest collection, or we can meet for petrol money. I'm based in Norwich. The cab has been used and shows sign of,, so it's certainly not 'as new' hence the ridiculously low price. £110 Why not grab my MarkBass F1 and Aria GT5 at the same time for a really cheap rig!     I have a very strong feeling this one won't be leaving the flock! It works really well with the Hartke Kilo ( and the GK MB800 for that matter!) I'm actually gonna let one of my Hartke 4.5XL's go! Thanks again Mick. This is a great great cab.

    I know I'm going to sound biased, but there's a local band here in Norwich I know and the bass player uses a P bass in to the combo version of the Hartke stack you have pictured above.The VX3500. It sounds so cool!

    The Hartke 4.5XL is one of my all time favourite cabs! The 3500 is a really good match for it too. A mate of mine used that very rig for years. As it happens, I'm thinking of letting one of my 4.5XLs go as I don't need so many at the moment. - I've upgraded my cabinets to use Speakon connectors too!

    Awesome! These are great. Love mine to bits. The audio quality is just astounding - no more distorted rehearsal recordings and even live gigs recorded sound great.

I am a prog' bass player at heart, though I love my 'tech' stuff too. I'm a sucker for a great melody mainly! Both Lee and Nat are great bass players and I think can both do 'the pocket' thing really well, but the thing with prog and tech is nailing the more dextrous passages, which they do well. Not with a million notes I mean, but being able to be bang on in terms of time keeping. Otherwise it sounds messy and..well.. A bit pants. No one likes messy pants.

The active version, that i own was know as the Power Jazz Bass Special. It includes a switchable 'notch filter' type EQ as well as the passive TBX system for some great sounds. As you say though, definitely a jazz neck. Rumoured to be modelled on a '62 jazz, but i cant confirm that. Also, my CIJ 'US 70's reissue' P bass has an 'A' neck on it. Side by side to my jazz, it is incredibly similar and does not feel like a precision neck. The nut i believe is, if not exactly the same, any the odd millimetre different. These non-export P basses are also very very good and for the money, even if you had to pay 700 , itd still be a good price.
