I've never heard any Biyang kit. I'm making an assumption that the Biyang kit falls in to the same catagory as Chord/GLX etc? Akai are obviously as massive brand known for their pro audio/ synths. Is Biyang one of their own companies / manaufacturing factories that are being oushed in the guitar market?
My rig is a Hartke LH500 and a pair of Mark Bass Club 121 cabs. I love it. However I'm going to be helping out the music dept at my kids' school so I want to get a ligher amp for this purpose. Totally happy to take a single cab with me, and for the ultimate in tiny set ups I'll be taking my Status Streamline. But I'm going to have to move rooms and carry everything everywhere. The Hartke isn't really heavy but it is heavy enough for me to not want to move it every 40 minutes. So I'm looking for a small amp head... and this is the question... which of the current tiny winners sounds the most like my Hartke?? I'm tempted by Dood's F1 - but I also know it won't sound like the LH500. What about the Reidmar? Or the MB500? (I tried a Fusion - didn't like it at all) Until Larry makes a Class D version of the LH500 I'll have to look at something else. All suggestions welcome!
Indeed mate! The Hartke Kilo isn't a 'gig bag' amp by any means either and for the same reason I had to look elsewhere until such times as there's a baby-amp in the Harke range. I've just gotten the MB800 because i really liked the all FET preamp (as well as the 800w amp lol), which sounds warmer and smoother, but is able to do the typical GK bite n grunge if you want it too. I guess i'd suggest anything with a preamp valve, then i guess you have the option of doing a bit of 'tube rolling' to fine tune the amp of choice? Or, you could use an amp such as the F1 or similar and drop a preamp type pedal in to the mix? LM Tube maybe? Some great suggestions already.

So, i was wearing my BassChat top proudly a while back, not realising my bag strap was covering the 'B'. yes I have fallen foul of being caught out my a sharp witted person in a crowded place. He noticed and everyone else laughed.
The best way to do it is to use a program like TuxGuitar to write a MIDI drum part, then export it as a MIDI file and import it into whatever DAW you're using to host Superior.
I'd say it'd probably be better just to write the parts in the DAW you are hosting Superior in. For those who prefer to 'draw it in' then use the Piano Roll function. The ones in Cubase, Reaper or Logic Pro to name three are dead easy. Reaper is my favourite.. And you can also loop small sections as you write them in the DAW. I'm just not sure how it'd be easier to use an external guitar editor?

How about a whole host of simple to use compressors in one box? The TC Electronic Nova Dynamics pedal enables you to do full band, multiband (3 bands), parallel compression and noisegating functions over two pedals in one box that can be configured in any number of ways. For the money, it's easily one of the best IMHO. I think it's better than the EBS Multicomp (true bypass version).

I haven't exported from Reaper for a while now, but i think i just made a short video, then went through all the settings, exprting in turn to see which worked best. Set it to equal the input resolution and it doesnt hurt to keep the frame rate high i have found when i slap it on youtube, but as Mike says, the HD resolutions should work.

Hi all! So, I decided to change my 'gig bag' sized amp.. A minor bought of G.A.S I might add. I've grabbed a GK MB800 for when I need to travel ultra light. This therefore means, my 'project' Markbass F1 is now up for sale. It's going cheap because (as you'll see in the pics) it doesnt have the normal front panel! Some time ago I was planning on putting some cool graphics on the front. The front faceplate simply pops off with two screws, so I prepped it ready in black and refitted it. That is unfortunately as far as I got! The other reason why the amp is going so cheap is that it's a US model that has been set up for UK voltage. (This entails the simple adjustment of two jumpers inside, no tools required. I've posted about how to do this on BC in the past. ) a different size fuse is also required and has been fitted. I have written on the label on the side of the amp detailing the changes. I'm asking for £300 for the amp which includes the ridiculously extortionate RRP'd rack mounting kit. I don't have a spare power cable, but these are so cheap anyway, i won't charge extra for me going out to buy one). So here's some pics! {edit} pictures added below!

Congrats! - Jon's basses are stunning, amazing, beautiful and equalling the very best on the market without the ridiculous prices. You're gonna love this bass!!! I think the third pickup idea is a really cool one! Good idea!

It's pretty funny isn't it John! It has to be mentioned that both this one and the very fine 4 string version in John's ad' are the sought after USA versions. I'll be honest, I very nearly started looking for the money for this myself! - but I remembered that it was a 6er I was looking for! It's actually the first time I've played a USA model with the Piezo pickups on too. I think I'm converted!!!! WOW!!! - Mixed together with the magnetic pickups it really seems to add a fatness and organic character to the sound. Best of both worlds right? -
