1. I have to say that the one thing that lets down all the other currently available tablets is the serious lack of kit available for us musicians. If you want to use a tablet for just reading PDFs of notation and maybe use some of the android apps then cool, but Apple have the market for musicians totally stitched up. There are so many peripherals, such as the Apogee Jam, the Digitech effects unit board thingy, and Alesis IO dock that make the iPad way more than just a tablet. I've never been an 'Apple man', but I'm so pleased with the iPad. I teach with it, run my business with it and as you have said, I can even use it for music sheets. IRealB app looks cool, though I haven't got it yet! I've been using GuitarPro for now along with another app I've forgotten the name of! Ha!
2. Oh and I am well n truly looked after by a few other companies too!
3. And......
4. And On......
5. I go On and On and On and On about SHUKER basses...
6. I've been offered a refinish on the body of my red PJBS.. I'm tempted but then there's the problem of choosing black or that pearly white!
7.
But where would people go to complain about off topic being locked?
Hmmmmm... TIMbuktu ;0)
8. Cool, can we lock off topic now? He he he!!!
9. Shhh!!! It wasn't delivered in time Adam! Don't wurry I know where it is!
10. Thank you for the feedback MM20! Yep, it's a great team to work with and the format is cool too because it includes HD video as well as the written material too. Warts n all! ha ha Well yes - however the UK distributor pressed to say that this model was to enable those with a smaller budget to get hold of a premium MM bass. They went on to say that It's not a budget model either, but as you say, some of the options have been skimmed back a bit to make them a bit cheaper. That's the information I used for the review. I also agree that ANY bass should be set up properly and SHOULD play as well as they can, *especially* when being sent for review by a magazine that gets well over 100,000 subscribers! - but as we all know, even some premium basses hanging in shops around the country play like dogs! It was this experience of (some not all) MM basses in the past that made me chirp up how happy I was that this example was so comfy.
11. Al, that's really cool!

New Zoom B3

Oooooh! I'm keeping an eye on this!
15. Hi Paul, well I can safely say that I've b*ggered about with far too many pieces of rack gear for my own good, but the best and cleanest sounding of them all without piles of rubbish guitar orientated effects is definitely by TC Electronics. I've owned both the G Force and the GMajor 2 and recommend them both whole heartedly. Even their pedals are pristine in tone. I prefer to use distortion pedals separately as I am very fussy about what type of drive I want, but as for time based effects, TC have always had the edge. I'm not endorsed by 'em or anything! Lol. I agree, I had a Bass Pod Pro rack. It was great, but A/B against the TC it was obvious which was the better of the two. Hope this helps!
16. Hey everybody! Please check out http://www.iguitarmag.com/ and click on issue 6. This month I've an interview with Frank Bello from Anthrax recorded live at the recent Hartke clinic and I'm reviewing some tasty gear: TC Electronics RH750 Musicman Stingray Fishman Fission PowerChord fx Washburn B5 electro acoustic Bass The magazine is FREE and you can subscribe for email updates too! As always I welcome comments and you can find me on my usual social networks ;0) Oh and there's a banner at the bottom or top of BassChat to take you straight to the mag if you lose this post! Dooooooooooood.
17. That's very nice of you to say so! I hoped to get as much of the ability of the amp over as much as possible and not my playing!
18. See if you can grab a nos GE 5751 , specifically the medical grade triple mica on black plates. A veritable HiFi banquet! Bit pricey but you'll be rewarded with crisp clarity that won't be out of place in home HiFi.
19. Bit late to the party, but I've got a video in the BC review section of the EBS session combo
20. This news pleases me! Darren, you're staying on board too right?
21. I saw a bass once with a small LCD screen with the battery condition displayed on it. Being LCD, the current draw was so small a 9v battery would have powered it for years longer than in comparison to the draw of the preamp. I mention this as it could be something to take in to consideration. I'm not sure who produced the LCD, but certainly your idea is something I'd like in my basses.

Mono power amps

I think they're in short supply, as power amps *tend* to be 2 channel. My suggestion would be to grab something like a second hand MarkBass F1 which I feel is one of the better DClass heads available for a reasonable secondhand price. 500w in to 4 ohms should see you good. Just set the EQ flat :0)
23. Something worth mentioning if you're that way inclined, the .5's lil speaker is a midrange and treble unit, not just a tweeter, so it doesn't sound so independent from the rest of the can like some tweeters do. A smoother top end I think.
24. Lets clear up any confusion - as per T&C's, prices disagreements should be made by PM. I'll be tidying these posts up.
25. +1 to SimWells - I prefer the lower girth and top of the 4.5XLs and would agree that the 410XL in comparison is punchier. The 4.5 is also heavier if that's something you need to take in to consideration.
