1. Well you see everything went downhill after the June 2011 issue... That's the June 2011 edition if you are looking to get a back issue... And have an interest in SHUKER basses... In the....ahhhhh June issue... This year.. Ummmmm... 2011... I hear the person who did the piece was a pretty cool dude too... ;0)

I'll move the thread for you!
3. Ha ha ha!! I've just taken the opportunity to use the new control panel to make my own sig a bit more colourful!
4. I love this thread!! There's a certain irony that in the past a thread about a slap video has notoriously ended up having a comment about the ole 'building a shed with a drum kit' slappage being a compensation for a lack of something else - and in this discussion about fingers and slapping we're all discussing the size of our signatures! See, this kinda humour just wouldn't happen on a Guitar forum! ha ha ha!
5. Hey Leemarc, welcome to the forum - it's good to have you aboard. You might like to place your advert in your signature in the Bass Tutors section if you haven't already and if you can please, shrink down the size of your signature banner a wee bit more. Mebbe have a horizontal one instead ;o) Have a look at other user's sigs for a guide. Cheers!
6. Hi JFinta, ok I'll pass this one up. I'm gonna hang 'em on the wall at home. Thank you.
7. And if TorVic doesn't have it, I'd like second dibs!
8. I have the Nova Dynamics pedal - so can't comment specifically on the Nova modulation pedals, however, I've owned quite an array of TC rack processors. I would put money on the pedal equivalent sounding incredible too. The Nova Dynamics has got to be one of the best compressor pedals on the market and TC are well known for being leaders in the signal processing market - especially in time based effects such as delay, reverb and modulation. As for the pedal itself, it is really well made, rock solid and dead easy to navigate. Yup, they'd be on my shopping list when looking for such a pedal! Doooooood
9. Thank you for the reply, will check it out.
10. Seriously, this hasn't sold yet?? That's crazy!! I get the feeling that people think that because this amp isn't 'reassuringly expensive' it mustn't be that good.. even at new price, the LH heads have got to be deal of the century.. but second hand I'm surprised your arm hasn't been ripped off!! Oh and the Kilo? Wave bye bye to the SVT ;o)
11. Right! Hell yeah! I've just gotten back from a project band rehearsal and had a chance to run the Kilo loud with my pair of HX112's. Well, I guess I gotta do that review now! But it's daft O'clock now and I need my bed, so mebbe do some video work tomorrow. What do I think? Yeah, it sounds great! Annnnnd yes, it's heavy.. I could still carry it one handed by a handle all the way across the car park whilst it is sans rack case, but I feel with all my other gear in a case too it might be a hairy-sphere-ache! Tone and flexibility may just win me over!!! And volume Punch Low end Yup.

Ah yes! I am a fan! Though I haven't caught this tour. Ghost Reveries I think is my fave album.
13. P.s. Congrats for New Amp Day!
14. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! Mine goes out for it's first loud sesh tomorrow, so expect my review after then too!
15. Ahh! If i pull my finger out and do my Kilo review, I'll do the HyDrive cabs with it at the same time!
16. I have a pair of HX112's and so does TinyViking on this very forum too! - I know that he has had his out for a gig or few already so will be able to respond to how they sound up loud, but my pair are yet to go out of the house! I'm hoping that will change soon! - The Hydrives are warmer sounding than their XL range counterparts but still retain that extra bite that the alu' cones give. I've found that as my own bass is quite a bright instrument, I am happy backing the tweeter off on the HyDrive cabs, but there's definitely lots of punch and low end there. I recommend getting your hands on 'em to try out.
17. Does this preamp have a model number, as there are one or two listed on the Nord' website.
18. Hey Steve, thank you so much for posting more pics I appreciate it - it looks that one has come available just down the road from me, so I'm going to leap on that one. Thank you though! Great price!
19. Hey Steve, what are the handles like on these cases? Are they the round ones?
20. Bargain for the 1516! I wonder if a cab like that would make a good project for a Fearful Bass / Barefaced- alike cabinet with the 15 / 8 combination?
21. A brilliant price for a brilliant piece of gear! Infact, that is a bargain to be had right there!
22. Heh heh! Yes sorry about the review lateness, I've been really busy writing for the next issue of Guitar Interactive Magazine. Any amps and effects that I review will be, as far as possible with my 6er, though sometimes that may not be possible. I'll let you know when I know more and will post my review soon.. Up to my neck in DIY and recording for a new band too which is taking up lots (of exciting) time. Kilo is sounding great. It has a natural fullness and lots of girth in the low end. Oh and mine likes to drive hard past the clip light .. I stop it just short of breaking up as the valves start to compress a bit! That's even before I use any of the other functions!
23. I'd say that on the gigging front it has been really pants for me! Lots of 'online band' projects and session stuff, but no where near as much gigging as I would have liked. Though I have to balance that with the rest of my music career that has been incredibly busy and exciting. The opportunities that have presented themselves in the last year have been amazing and I'm feeling energised.. And knackered! Lol. so I guess looking at it that way, I'm not down in the mouth about it too much; ive been working hard elsewhere. I certainly hope to be on the road again in the new year.
24. Hey Andy, I see you'll have one soon though right? Yay!
25.
In my humble opinion no, I went last year and was disappointed, and there was continual slapurbation going on from almost every stand, I won't bother again.
Have to say I found it very difficult to demonstrate on the Shuker stand as I wanted to show people some more melodic and tonal sides of the instruments, but no one could hear it under the sound akin to that of people building sheds with drum kits.
