One of the many highlights of the G Major 2 is it's ability to switch external amplifiers and effects as part of a patch change, so that you can switch a guitar amp channel and add effects with the touch of one button instead of using a separate channel changer. I've included some web prices of the G Major on it's own: http://www.dv247.com/guitars/tc-electronic...rocessor--61530 £469.00 http://www.thomann.de/gb/tc_electronic_gmajor_2.htm 419.17 GBP
I take your staccato750 and raise you the staccatosmith
I believe I have just been trumped! - It's a shame that 'smith is in such an unnecessary huge case.. it's not like it needs the room like an SVT 2/Mesa 400. I'd like to see 1000W in a 1u size, if it's a rackable head. Funnily, i'd been in touch with a couple of manufacturers some 5 years ago about such a design, but it seems my ideas were missed!
Cheers Dood I do recall getting your advice on this very subject, from what you have said mate i think you would like the staccato a lot. ( gently placing a GAS seed in Dood's head)........................
Awww you little monkey you! I managed to divert my GAS elsewhere whilst I was talking to Molan about the Staccato! - I'm sure it'll just get worse if they bring out a Staccato 750!!
I don't have the spare pennies at the moment and the next bunch is on a second cab However I am curious whats replacing this?
Hey Charic! - I have to admit that I'm not really replacing it with anything! - I've been using less and less effects in this particular system and have really been enjoying just using a distortion pre / EQ combination straight in to my LH head. a pedal to boost for solos etc. However I am looking at a floor unit that I will use for teaching and workshops and a project that I am doing without the need for a rack system. Oh.. and I need a couple of combos for teaching with!

For what it's worth, when I owned an RH450, the overwhelming feeling was that I should have gotten the Stacc'. I still have an F1 that I use as a backup these days but I never pursued the Stacc' when I got hold of my current rig. Congrats on new amp day!

I'm afraid there's been a little delay. The lambs wool for my monthly order has to come from a lamb born in that month and apparently my last order was the July edition not August and I can't go without fresh undergarments! I'm making the factory work throughout the night so I have some to wear tomorrow. Sigh... Just can't get the staff!

I am selling my effects system. Nothing at all wrong with it - I'm just in one of those moods and fancy trying something new! http://www.tcelectronic.com/g-major2.asp Massive image of the effects unit^^^^ and a not-so-massive factory image of the FC200 The TC has been racked all the time and from the front and back is pristine. Naturally where it has been in and out of a rack there is a little rash around the bolt holes and the odd scratch too on the top/bottom but this wouldn't be seen whilst in a rack anyway. The FC200 has been gigged lots (as I owned it before the TC and used with another effects rack) and the metal case has a few scuffs and marks on the bottom and signs of wear around the edges, but it has never let me down and it is built like a battleship, which is GREAT! I'm selling the two together - infact, I'll go as far as to say that you're pretty much getting the FC200 thrown in for pennies. I'm afraid I don't have a spare power supply for the FC200, but the usual 9V DC adaptors for pedals is fine AND!!!!! The controller actually takes batteries! Now, I could try to describe the incredible flexibility of the two units together, but you may fall asleep just on the MIDI controller itself - there's a lot of functionality on the back of the unit!! So instead, Here's the links for the manuals for you to peruse in your own time! http://www.tcelectronic.com/media/G_Major_II_US.pdf http://www.roland.co.uk/products/productde...p;tab=Downloads If you'd like pics of the actual units I can do that over the next day or so then add them to the thread. So all of this loveliness? Tell me that £340 isn't a great deal for the two + delivery. You can even come and pick it up!
Made by Harper, I got it a few years ago as a birthday present and now I've moved out I have no room for it! only really used it to jam when camping a few times, it's had no gigs or anything! Just been a bit scratched in places. Plays nicely and had a new pickup installed soon after I got it. It's going to basschat for £275 + postage or collection from SE or central London, Eastbourne or maybe Southampton! Fleabay link (with pictures and more info) and yes, that's right. it comes with a FREE hard case! FREE!
Funnily, I spotted this on eBay and although looking for a 5 string acoustic, I dismissed it as I've never heard of Harper. I'd certainly be interested in hearing more about it though.
I miss my Low B2s. What's different in the series 2?
I believe one of the main improvements was to use 'self resetting fuses' for the midrange and tweeters instead of the 'light bulbs' that had to be replaced every time they blew. Not a nice job having to unscrew the grill, then remove a speaker, then get to the crossover..etc etc.. I believe the rest were cosmetic upgrades and making the total weight less too. I'd have to go take a look at the information on the website again for anything else! oh wait - I just thought of something! - The banana sockets and 1/4" jack sockets have been replaced with a pair of the far stronger Speakon (+ 1/4") combo sockets.
