1. I was a very early BassWorder on V 1.0. I seem to remember there being very few members on board and I think I knew the first names of pretty much all of the 'main posters'! I also have one or two of those to thank/blame for my Shukers!
Bassworld.co.uk Traffic statistics This site has received 17358513 pages views since Jan 2005, 14369 today, and 41693 yesterday. 2. Nope, really not enjoying reading these two threads together.
3. I am happy for Mike to come back and publicly reply on this thread so that both sides are heard and hope that this situation can be resolved by both parties amicably. I do not want to see the thread get out of hand - as it will just get locked / deleted. I would prefer that the problem is resolved via PM and for both parties to come back and say that everything is resolved happily.
4. Cheeky bumpage!
5. Here's one fabricated for a 10" cone - it uses a secret recipe alloy!
6. Drummers use metal click pads on their bass drum skins to add more definition and attack to the sound of the drum. I'm selling some discs that you glue to your Bass speakers that improve tone and definition. Mine have holes in the middle to let the high frequencies through. Sold in packs of 4 (for a 4x10) for £10. Wait a moment whilst I upload a picture...
7.
Bass players never pull, they are the tall moody ones at the back........ thats me.

IMHO all the most interesting women like the tall moody ones.
I'm tall.. check Stand at the back .. check Moody .. ahh, need to work on that one, I'm far too happy when I play! Maybe when I'm on stage I look like I'm 'on something' instead of looking smouldering and moody!
8. I'm not a fan of the cabinets *ducks before I get something chucked at me* but the amps are great sounding. It's just down to personal taste for me though as anyone who has been watching my gear journey will attest!
9. Yep - Bargain!
10.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............. I hate having GAS!!!
Heh heh, come see me Gamble and we'll continue the convo we were havin' too...
11. Wow! One day and it's off the page already! Cheeky bump then!
12. The Peterson tuners are just awesome! I remember Paul and I at one of the first Bass bashes tracking my open low F# string with ease on his handheld tuner! - That said though, I love Korg tuners and the DTR's are very capable - so either would be my choice - Korg probably being the cheaper of the two, but still very acurate. I have a Pitchblack pedal tuner, but use the tuner on my TC G Major 2 in the rack.
13. Absolutely beautiful and a great review mate!!!
14. The Manual! http://www.tube-tester.com/sites/2120/manu...20_man_engl.pdf and some further tech specs: http://www.amptone.com/digitech2120.htm
15. Aww fankz! ;o) Bless you! - Yup they are brilliant! - This is my lesser used spare - I'm keeping the other one!
16. Now that I have wiped the top over and took a pic in the light, it's not as scratched as I thought!
17. What looks like a scratch on the lid above the clip LED and bolt fixing is actually a hair! DOH! Sorry, I'll do another better picture!
18. Above pic showing the 2120 firmware version. 19. >>> Ok, I spotted this lil chap on ebay recently and bagged it on a whim, because it has, on top of a full compliment of stereo effects, two programmable preamp/drive sections that can be run in parallel to each other - one making use of the two valves on board. It's a 2112 unit with the upgrade to the 2120 chip on board. (Both models that were on sale were exactly the same from a hardware point of view, but the original 2120 had a purple fascia) I played with it for a while, then realised I didn't really need it at all and not really sure why I'd want to try to replace my TC G Major 2 anyway! ha! - but then, That's GAS for you right? So, I'm offering it to you guys on the cheap - you can make use of my fine good nature and pick up a little bargain. It comes with the Control One foot controller - which has it's own display (as seen in the pictures) to tell you exactly what patch you are on and the status of the effects unit (inluding tuner display). It only requires one MIDI cable and no additional power to the controller, so no daft cables everywhere! - I'm afraid I don't have a spare MIDI cable - but they are so cheap off ebay anyway - and you can grab the length you require. The foot controller works absolutely fine, there's just a couple of niggles about the preamp though - the gain knob and bass knob, if you turn them slowly are absolutely fine, but if you spin them quickly they sometimes don't read where you moved them to. I can only assume that they need some spray cleaner in? Also, there is a slight discolouration to the very top of the screen. there's nothing to worry about as it doesn't get in the way of viewing settings etc. Finally - this unit has definitely seen some use and there are a few scuffs on the outer casing, that you won't see in a rack - but doesn't affect operation. So with this in mind, you can have this delivered in the UK for £200. - I have a box ready to go! Pictures up soon - in the meantime here's some information about the unit and upgrade: Sound On Sound review: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec98/arti...ech2120.186.htm 2112 > 2120 firmware upgrade : http://www.tube-tester.com/sites/2120/2120-main.htm PM me for any information, Paypal is fine as long as you cover the costs - as is bank transfer, cheque and cold hard cash if you come to collect!
20. Ah you know what this little chap can do! but if you don't read all about it here: http://www.markbass.it/product_detail.php?id=82 Pics to follow shortly, but you can grab this little fellow for £420 including England shipping. Few little scuffs and scratches on the unit, hence low price - but nothing that interferes with operation.
