Hi everyone ;o) I'll get some pics together shortly! I bought this power amp from our very own Tombboy a while back to use with my new cabinets. Now I have myself sorted with a matching Hartke head, this power amp has not been used - I don't forsee needing it in the near future either. So - to clear a bit of space and to pass on a real bagain. Here it is! This amplifier is rated down to 4 Ohms bridged. This is a library picture of the front and rear end: This one doesn't have a big silver logo on the front - which to be honest I prefer without. It looks a bit naff!! ha ha!! here's the spec I copied from t'interweb:
The Peavey PV2600 power amplifier has a massive 900w RMS (1800w program) power per channel at 4 ohms, The Peavey PV 2600 PA power amplifier is perfect for live bands, DJs, clubs, discos, schools, church halls, conference venues and installation, In compact 2 U rack size, the Peavey PV2600 PA power amplifier is massive power in a small package. The Peavey PV 2600 works as a standard full range power amplifier and also features two built-in 150 Hz crossovers for subwoofers. With the crossover selected, the sub frequencies are sent to the speaker outputs to power subs and the higher frequencies are sent to the "HIGH OUT" jack sockets for connection to a separate amplifier for 2-way PA configurations. In addition, the sub 150Hz frequencies are also sent to the "THRU LOW OUT" jack sockets for connection to a second separate sub power amplifier if required. Peavey PV2600 Power Output: 4 ohms 900w RMS / 1800w program per channel Power Output: 8 ohms 550w RMS / 1100w program per channel Power Output Bridge Mode: 8 ohms 1800w RMS / 3600w program COOLING SYSTEM: Two-speed DC fan, air flow back to front LOW CUT FILTER: -3 dB @ 40 Hz, 12 dB per octave CROSSOVER: 150 Hz, 4-pole Linkwitz-Riley approximation INPUTS: Electronic balanced, with Barrier Strip or XLR, TRS 1/4" (6.3 mm) jack. These are combination sockets which fit either a 6.3mm (1/4") jack male in the centre or an XLR male CROSSOVER OUTPUTS: Low/Thru and High, TS 1/4" (6.3 mm) jack PV2600 AMPLIFIER OUTPUTS: 3 x Speakons for Chan A, Chan B and Bridge and Binding Posts DIMENSIONS: Height: 2 U rackmount 3.5" (8.9 cm), Width: 19" (48.3 cm), Depth: 15.5" (38.0 cm) WEIGHT: 22.3kgs (49lbs)
Shipping maybe a little pricey as I will ship insured and the amplifer isn't the lightest in the world - but that's what you get for having a great big hefty power supply!! NICE! You are therefore welcome to come and collect!!! £160

Question to the Mods please
Dood replied to Bass Culture's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Hey Mark! We've had adverts for all sorts of non bass stuff that we have had to remove in the past, including car stereos - and even whole cars that we have had to remove. So It would be unfair to those people to allow an advert for bike stuff in the instrument forums. The only thing I can suggest is to put them in to the recycling forum OR I think you could mention them in the bicycles thread in the Off Topic forum - maybe post a link to some information and pictures that way? Sorry, we have rulez to stick too ;o) -
I'll +1 for the MultiComp - It's brilliant. However, I have to say the TC Electronic Nova Dynamics trumps it - and can be bought new, cheaper. I have both and use the TC in my big rig - and throw the Multicomp in my bass bag pocket for jamming, should I need it.
yeh i saw the big one and i have no need for that! yeh i looked at the digi but i only want it for fun and doing something with solos in the band so i went for the baby of the group the rc-2 andy
Cool! Let me know how you get on with it Andy
also is there any danger in looping so many signals thru one amp and cab? andy
No, I can't see how that would cause a problem - unless the signal was too hot for the amp, then it would just distort. I'd just back the gain down so it cleaned it up.

Another pedal I bought for my project rig, but I find I am using the MXR M80 more. I bought the pedal off a nice chap on BC a while back. It is boxed and in perfect working order. There's a little marking to the outer case, but I wouldn't consider it 'scuffing'. I am therefore feeling generous and will let you have it, delivered to mainland UK for £30. PM to discuss payment options.. all the 'usual' ones are fine Thank you!! I bought this swiss army knife pedal for my 'project rig' before I took delivery of my Hartke gear. Poor ole thing made it to a psuedo pedal board temporarily - but I soon took it off again as I didn't need it. The pedal is in it's original bags and Tech 21 'tin', with all instructions, protective plastic cover and even the sticker is unused!!! The pedal will work as a complete preamp solution straight in to a power amp - and certainly does 'BDDI' as well - and a whole lot more. Definitely a swiss army knife! £180 INC delivery Price reflects condition. http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/sansamp/paradriverdi.html
This floor version of our RPM rackmount provides the same detailed tone shaping possibilities for any signal source. It is particularly useful with acoustic, electric and bass guitars, and upright bass, either direct to a mixing console or with an instrument amplifier. The Para Driver DI gives your instrument a natural warmth and presence, as if miking it through a tube pre-amp. The SansAmp circuitry eliminates the harsh, unnatural harmonics of piezo pickups, while the Drive control offers some tasteful edge -- just a little or over-the-top. Actual size: 4.5” x 3.5” x 1.5” Weight: 12 oz. Phantom power operable, or utilizes an optional 9V DC power supply (Tech 21 Model # DC2), or 9V battery (not included). Sample Settings Included in the Owner's Manual for: • Acoustic Guitar • Mid-Boost Guitar • Champ® • Money for Nothing • Sparkle Electric Guitar • Schenker • Deep Tube Bass • SVT® Bass • Jaco Bass • Lead Bass • Upright Bass • Active Bass Simulator • Electric Violin • Clean Boost • Electric Piano • Hammond® Organ • Hip-Hop Drums • Kick Drums • Snare Drum • Stomp Box (Compressor) Direct-Clean • Stomp Box (Distortion) Direct-Rock • Stomp Box (Distortion) Direct-Metal
Whatever crunch you add, make sure you have a clean channel of bass end mixed in as well, in order to keep the definition in there, especially if you are going for mental riffage. Not quite the same tone, but I use an MXR M80 for drive, but pull the treble all the way down, then mix in dry top and bottom through a second signal path. The result is a really tight bass tone I think you can do a similar thing on board the Ashdown Lomenzo pedal, where, like me, the distortion only affects the mid frequencies, leaving all the good stuff intact.

Sorry - my bad, you were referring to the programmable BDDI! Not the ParaDriver.. must pay more attention! lol
-
My paradriver is redundant!! lolz! - I would however use it as suggested above! - Use it to add more drive / dirty to your signal, like a distortion pedal,

My GAS couldn't wait for the looperlative pedal... but I can't wait to see the spec!
... unless you are the bass playing terminator known as Dood
Can I get a HELL YEAH! (or that wierd noise that Predator makes... what a lil cutey! ha ha!!)
also what people views on the boss loop station? andy
I chose the digitech as it has far more options than the loop RC-20XL and I really didn't want another big pedal board like the RC-50.

Hi Guys!!! Sorry, have been away from BC for a day or so. Well, I can tell you the JamMan arrived this am!! It can reverse - and you can time morph (faster and slower) - so not *just* half speed. Indeed in some of the demo videos, the chap demonstrates how you can use the pedal with the CD/MP3 player input to slow down tracks without changing the pitch, in order to learn those difficult passages of music. AND it works! Nice!

Anyone want to fill in my post for me? You know what I'm gonna say!!!! I adore the Hartke 4.5XL cabs. I used to run two with an Ampeg SVT 2 Pro. I now own the LH1000 with a pair of HyDrive 410's. Brilliant bits of kit - and I am expecting the rig to show up with me on Channel 4 in coming weeks! I'll keep you posted when it's due to happen. Hey James! Very enjoyable! Had me tapping ma hoof all the way!

Hey matey, Have a word with Jon - I know one of his own circuits is more power hungry than most - I understand it's a trade off for the design he has used. However, you might have a problem if it is a different preamp in there. Typically, I only need to change my batteries in my EMG circuit once a year. In fact, if they need it or not - I do what Dave 'OBBM' once suggested. He changes them on his birthday, so he doesn't forget!!

Bit of a mellow afternoon with Johnny Cash (cover tunes, such as Hurt, Personal Jesus, One etc) and Ray Lamontagne!
