Agreed. It was such a wonderful surprise today - that thing I didn't know I wanted but now I'm so happy that it's here. I may actually be irrationally happy about this.

I'd like to be able to toggle them, personally. I think they look messy in the mobile view.

You can - button top right :)

  3. Thank you for your congratulations, congratulating me on my congratulations given to BreadBin who kindly congratulated me on the award I attained, which he also received for congratulating me.
  4. Maybe I'll get extra for congratulating you on your congratulating me.
  5. One of my all time favourite bass reviews was a Mayones - and not even an expensive offering either. Great basses, would have one immediately if I had the spare cash.
  6. Coming in thick and fast now
  7. Brilliant Combo! Yeah, I rate that one!
  8. I’m actually waiting to do a review of the @Bergantino Audio Forté HP as well as the NXT and NXV cabinets when they ship to our distributor. I’ll also ask to do B|Amp MK 2 as well. I adore my B|Amp MK1 and can help answer questions about Forté. Anything I can’t answer, I’ll call Jim himself
  9. My old 7 string was tuned with the high C and high F. The C was either a .30 or 32 and the F was a 0.20 - on a 34" scale. At the time I was using either Elite or Rotosound strings. Rotosound only did a plain 20 though iirc. These days I use D'Addario who do a wide range of single strings (I'm not tuning to high F anymore though) - but if there's any string they can't make, then its absolutely Newtone Strings for custom winding.

I did know that yeah! And yeah, I am more alive than I have been! Things must be looking up!

  11. I'm wracking my brains, but I have been told about them and they were recommended - I just can't remember who sent me the link, but I am sure it was a pro player.
  12. You've reminded me that I still have pages that I tore out of magazines from when I was a young impressionable teen. One was from 1989. I'd stuck it on my wall and would look at the bass in the picture with wide eyes. It was a proper "Oh she will be mine!" Wayne's World moment (interesting as the film wouldn't come out for another three years lol) Oddly, given the amount if basses owned in between, It took me until around 2003 to finally get one ha ha and, by an interesting twist in the tale, the actual bass is a 1989! I have it and use it nearly every day. I also have a model from 1987 too. Dreams, as they say, can come true!
  13. Nathan East: Attitude + Aptitude = Altitude And one from an ole IT Manager: "Always be aware of your audience", which also translates to being a musician. This isn't just about stage craft, it's about how you interact with those around you; customers, band mates, security, friends, parents, the toilet cleaner. Treat them well as you never know which will be scraping your face off the road one day and saving your a**! Which takes me on to Ozzy Osbourne in the rockumentary 'The Decline Of Western Civilisation, Pt 2', where he dispenses this rather useful piece of advice whilst failing to pour a glass of orange juice: "You meet a lot of people on the way up, don't f**** them, as you'll meet them on the way down too."
  14. Cheers Bagsie! I know that I'm going to be proper fussy but at the same time have to expect a certain quality given the price. Would love to check out a build at some point in the absence of picking up a stock P bass in the config I want.
  15. Are they any good? Do they make good project instruments? Or is it worth just saving the cash and going for something like Warmoth? Let's see (and hear) your project part basses - and let me know what you used for bodies and necks!
  16. Agreed on the clean tones - it's something I try to cover in all my video gear reviews. I'll do the same with these if I can get hold of them.
  17. oooh! Best I have a chat to get these reviewed ASAP then! I always thought the Laney SL kit was rather good - interested in these for a spin.
  18. Sorry, I don't mean to rail-road your sales post (I guess my question will bump it though so no bad thing) but does anyone reading this know if the Fender 70's tuning keys fit these headstocks? Especially Gotoh FB30 Or even the reverse Kluson style ones?
  19. I'm sorry for the difficult conversations you have had to have with your bank manager 🤣
