  1. Cheers Bagsie! I know that I'm going to be proper fussy but at the same time have to expect a certain quality given the price. Would love to check out a build at some point in the absence of picking up a stock P bass in the config I want.
  2. Are they any good? Do they make good project instruments? Or is it worth just saving the cash and going for something like Warmoth? Let's see (and hear) your project part basses - and let me know what you used for bodies and necks!
  3. Agreed on the clean tones - it's something I try to cover in all my video gear reviews. I'll do the same with these if I can get hold of them.
  4. oooh! Best I have a chat to get these reviewed ASAP then! I always thought the Laney SL kit was rather good - interested in these for a spin.
  5. Sorry, I don't mean to rail-road your sales post (I guess my question will bump it though so no bad thing) but does anyone reading this know if the Fender 70's tuning keys fit these headstocks? Especially Gotoh FB30 Or even the reverse Kluson style ones?
  6. I'm sorry for the difficult conversations you have had to have with your bank manager 🤣
  7. Definitely one of the reasons why I love B|Amp! - and there are plenty more.
  8. I can profile my HD112 cabinets (when I get round to it) and I'll be comparing the IR with the real thing.
  9. I hadn't, but I absolutely know that I've had a long conversation with Jim Bergantino about using the system that Bergantino employ to create the B|Amp profiles could produce IR's of all of their cabinets. Of course, as Celestion make the new NXT drivers, they can do this process in house and, well, it looks like they have!
  10. Car? Car? ... some witty heckler once asked me if I land fighter jets on it... 🤣
  11. Apologies if I’ve missed it in the thread, but, have you been out and found a really great teacher yet? Everything you have mentioned in the thread has been at least one of my students over even just the last ten years of teaching.. many of them were saying the same thing. it sounds like you need some 1-2-1 with a patient understanding teacher who knows their stuff. Good luck, I hope that you are reunited with the joy of playing music.
  12. What do you all look for in a YouTube video? What do you want to see more of, what do you want to see less of? Are short five minute videos touching on the key areas better for you than 15-20 minute offerings that go in to greater detail? (How to use something or more available sound examples) Please quote me and comment as I (like I am sure all videographers and vloggers) would be interested to find out!

A very pleasant meet up that we arranged with no fuss whatsoever and a fun opportunity to geek out on bass toys. It's a thumbs up from me!
  14. Ahhhh, memories of the pre-smoking ban, those halcyon days.... 🤢
  15. SOLD to a rather fine chap called Dave!
  16. ::SALE PENDING:: I received a message just two minutes after posting the advert!
  17. Line 6 Helix LT https://line6.com/helix/ Comes with - Push On Pedal toppers (six installed for top row buttons, easily popped off if not needed). You can still slide your fingers underneath and operate the touch sensitive functionality, but this helps to stop unnecessary triggering when editing patches if, like me you have big bass player hands and looooong fingers!! The best screen protector out there made by the awesome @intime-nick that I bought to protect my investment, £20 well spent! Original Box and hopefully all the case candy too (including the power lead ha ha!) Free insured / tracked shipping, or you are most welcome to come collect! The swirls on the device is just where I have wiped with a damp cloth for the pictures, but the casing does have the odd mark on it from having been used but certainly not abused! I can throw in a pedal board carry case too for an extra £40, (to accommodate the cost of the bag and additional shipping costs).
  18. One of my customers back in my IT days, was called Shirley Knott.
  19. Laughed way more than I should have.. 🤣
  20. It was a wider question regarding all the usual suspects, to see what the figures really are. I feel that the more well known ones will probably be pretty damn closer to the manufacturers details, the cheaper end of the scale, I'm not so sure!
  21. re-read I have the test gear, I don't have the wireless systems 😂
  22. I think I’ve nodded at every single post in this thread! Soooooooo good! The Rain Song really gets me in the music feels!
  23. I’m jealous Loz! Yup, the DBS7400 ☺️🥰
  24. For old school it would absolutely be a Marshall 7400, I would love one of those! The EBS 802 does exactly what it says on the tin and gets my thumbs up! TD650 used to be my favourite EBS head until this one came along! I like the Eden WT550 for a baby iron, nice tone on that one. Ampeg SVT 4 Pro (or get the Helix with its SVT4Pro model and a power amp)
