I want to buy a decent camera to do reviews with. Maybe there's an opportunity here to do a BassChat reviews vlog thing. @ped? Time allowing, I could do that and upload directly to my YouTube.

Guitar speakers have a tailored response that is often peaked in the mids and the top end rolls off fairly quickly. Yes you will be able to use them, They might even go loud, but the sound you hear will be less than HiFi.

So, in order of processing ability, it goes B1, MS60, B3 and B3n. The thing is, the B1 is capable of more effects simultaneously than the B3. How could that be? Well, the algorithms on the devices are tweaked so that they don't eat up processing resources. Thus, the sonic quality of the B3n will be superior to that of the B1, The B1's algorithms are simplified. You could therefore see the same effects on board, but the B1's may be limited in certain ways. I can't remember what my Zoom contact said they would be, but I'd guess at things like dynamic range and processing bit rates possibly.

Yup, I'd agree with something like one of those mini basses. I've not checked but maybe Gear4Music or Thomann do something that won't eat the credit card.

UPS: "We won't be paying out that rather large sum of money in insurance, because due to the failings of our staff members not logging that they had actually picked up and moved through the depot a rather huge box that they agree matches the description of the lost one they recall having picked up, you've not been able to prove that we actually picked it up. Case closed."

I got my homophones mixed up and was hoping for a post about seafaring low-enders.

Errrrrrrrrrrr...... When: Whilst in your possession. Where: Whilst in your possession. How: I refer you to my last comments. I just don't understand how that's so difficult to comprehend. Oh!! Wait!!! Maybe, just maybe, they think they handle everything with kid gloves. It's just that everyone sends broken sh*t for the sheer hell of it!

Responsible for probably the fastest transaction and delivery, I messaged Kev @ambient yesterday afternoon to purchase his item for sale. Cash sent, a very well packed parcel arrived first thing this morning! A++++ as they say on that well known auction website!

Ha ha! I blame the medication 😂 I’ve no idea how I managed to post in the wrong thread! Thank you for cross linking ;o) In all honesty I grabbed it in a moment of madness. I don’t really need it, but I was super curious. I’ve not had a great deal of time to play with it yet, but yes I agree it does a really good OC2 impression though mine doesn’t seem to track as closely as your recorded examples! No problem though I think it will go low enough for certain stuff!

I had a rack one for a short while that I managed to bag second hand. In all honest and probably not what you want to hear: The sonic maximiser has two controls. The one that governs the lows and the most important to us bassists is only an EQ boost centred around 50hz. (It has no ‘maximising’ properties) The high frequency control could certainly help with those that like a brighter tone, but is unlikely to be useful (I.e. what it is designed to do) if you are going without tweeters or your sound favours like likes of flatwounds. That said, as a two band EQ for my six string basses, it worked well bringing extra zing to chords and top end playing. Eventually I ditched it and started using the multiband EQ that I had on my effects unit to target those important frequencies. I have to admit ended up being a better option. YMMV of course.

Congratulations winners! I've just popped a set of fresh D'Addarios on my new (old) P bass and it sounds sublime! Love these strings!

I'd stop you there before you do get paired. Wireless In-Ear monitoring via Bluetooth I'm afraid won't go well. The latency between a note being played and getting to your ears is so long it will really mess with your time keeping. Bluetooth just isn't able to do real time audio transfer. It's also not a very resilient connection. You'll find it will drop often in live environments. Listening to normal music will be fine, or if you are playing along to music and have a bass amplifier sat in the room that you can hear ambiently.

UPS - Unbelievably Poor Service. Avoid this courier...

I thought I would just add, now that it has been a good week or so since my new bass arrived, we have started bonding. I have to say, it took a little while, but after getting some new strings on and simply tweaking the action just a smidge, I'm getting the feel-goods big style! It's worn, it has some battle scars, but the tone direct in to my studio monitors is just... just lovely! I'm very pleased to also say that it loves @D'Addario UK strings. I went with Pro Steels to balance out the lows and low mids (this example has some nice thick mids when the strings go off) and it worked a treat! -
I don't think TC were ever owned by Gibson, but they are now owned by Music Group who also own Tannoy and Behringer, Midas and Lab Gruppen.

Which is of course very true. However, for a completely bespoke option, the answer is ShukerGuitars.co.uk

I’d go with GuitarBuild for a cheap custom solution.

Petition to help save a great local music venue.
Dood replied to Painy's topic in General Discussion
Norwich is down to the last few and even those are struggling. Sadly, this story isn’t about demand for music. The owners of these venues (and more) it has been suggested have gotten themselves in to financial difficulty. It seems, despite these venues turning over a profit (from what I can understand) the owners want more money to cover their own backs instead of investing in the very thing that could help them out of troubled waters. still, no different from the British government eh... -
Petition to help save a great local music venue.

Two other venues have closed in Norwich owned by the same ‘company’. One has announced that the rent will double and that has nailed their future’s coffin lid well n’ truly. -
I think I am right in saying EBS does and that the TD650 and HD350 were tweaked for “more low end” in the TD660 and HD360 respectively. I am unsure if the HPF was adjusted, but something in my mind makes me think that was part of the revoicing. TD650 being a superb and tight sounding amp. yum!

Indeed. They are ‘shelving EQ’ types that I suspect will be 12dB/Oct at a guess.

I can confirm there are only 11 Basschatters. The rest is true 😂😂😂
