  1. @D'Addario UK's Adam is a man who has the answers!
  2. Truth! The four string Dingwalls are a 36.25" scale on the low string. They won't however fit the 5 string models with a 37" scale length for the B string. Literally, if the Super Long strings were just 0.75" longer - Like "Super Long +" then even my Dingwall could enjoy NYXL.. and Pro Steels etc .. @daddariouk, Let me know when this happens
  3. Woo Hoo!! Awesome D'Addario!!! NYXL are great, great strings!

    Line 6 Helix.

I'm starting to think about downsizing from my Helix LT to HXFX. I'm starting to wonder if I really need all those bells and whistles for gigging?
  5. I very nearly interviewed Jack. It was so close to happening that I had his home address and the date was planned to meet with my camera team and his publicist. Sadly, just a day before he had to pull out of the interview. Even more sadly, soon after Jack passed away.
  6. I agree, you shouldn't. You shouldn't also have customer services staff being short in their replies, nor unhelpful and totally non-commital when asked what they are doing to help. My experiences with UPS have totally put me off them. Not because this is a 'one off' in the eyes of those who haven't had any problem (yet) with UPS, but more down to the attitude I and the shop involved are getting from UPS. Let's see if anything comes back from the Management Concerns Department...
  7. Well, put it this way, the usual response time for UPS to get back to us is about a day. The content of the communication is tepid at best. An email sent to the CEO had a phone call back from the Management Concerns Department in 30 minutes. Awaiting further updates.
  8. Well, it seems we might not need to use the special repotting instructions (concrete, chains and a trip to the nearest pier) as the CEO could well have intervened.
  9. A great big fat zero. Time to have a chat with the CEO. Will repot back later.
  10. Ok! Today’s guessing game! Considering it’s now Tuesday, not “first thing Monday morning.” How many times this week do you think UPS have been in contact over this, that they refer to as an “urgent enquiry “?
  11. Oh.my.chuffin.christ Make sure it’s a successful scan.. and have the address in huge marker pen letters written on the box. Hell, you might need some big arrows and flashing lights on it too.
  12. I've made contact now, so we're all good Thank you again.
  13. All of your guesses are of course absolutely brilliant, but I'm sorry, I can't tell you which one is correct as UPS couldn't be bothered to be in touch today to tell me what they have been doing.
  14. Thank you! Well, after the UPS debacle, this could be an option.
  15. Nyarghh! I'm not in the group sadly.
  16. Right then! Week three. Lets see what those cheeky chaps at UPS have for us. Who wants to lay bets?
  17. P.s. Thank you!
  18. No I didn't! I've literally only just reactivated my FB this weekend. Do you have a link?
  19. Good question! I suspect a third party insurer wouldn't touch couriers with a bargepole if they had any sense.
  20. It's also 200W, which could be a limiting factor with the single 12" speaker. I'm hesitant over the low end roll off at 47hz and an SPL of 129dB.
  21. Well yes, according to several members of support staff who say that 'ground staff' have been doing searching over the last week and a half; It does sort of point to the possibility that all of the honest options have been exhausted? I really hope for the shop's sake they will pay out the entire value of the instrument. I wouldn't expect they will offer any compensation for the hassle both the shop staff and I have had to endure. My OP still stands. Avoid UPS at all costs.
  22. I must remember to do this in the morning! Thank you!
  23. The RCF NX45 I would love but I keep coming back to the K12.2 as the cab I might go with due to budget. So, thank you for the review
  24. See ‘News Just In’ above. Not good at the moment and nothing more until Monday. Thank you @binky_bass, that’s great. I think the shop will be in touch with Mark Vale and probably the police too. Everything is just a bit fishy now following communications from UPS. It doesn’t bode well for the outcome we’d expect. Undelivered? Probably Stolen.
