Oh wait! I've had another idea! See if you can find a TC Electronic Nova Dynamics! - it's one physical pedal but there are two separate compressors in the box. (actually each half can be one of two different types of compressor or noise gate if you wish.. or boost pedal.. or.. lol ) - it'd be so simple to set up Comp 1 for guitar and Comp 2 for bass then switch between them! I can't think of it being too much easier than that. Dooooood

I think I would suggest either the TC Electronic Hypergravity or Spectracomp. There are plenty of amazing compressors out there and you will get loads of suggestions, but what I love about these is that if you are unsure where to start you can choose from a library of programs that are really simple to load on each device. You could then audition as many as you wanted to see which suits your two instruments the best. Later, when you have found a program you like, there is also an editor to iron out those 'if only it did this' issues. I use mine (I actually have both as I am greedy) for all sorts of instruments and the option of 'changing out their guts' as it were at the flick of a switch makes them really flexible.

But of course if you have a digital desk then the chances are you can set up EQ and limiting on each channel anyway.

The EQ definitely is a bonus. My P16m feed (16 channels) allows EQ on every channel, which is a nice tweak for my IEMs. But that does rely on having a mixer that is compatible of course. The limiter is also handy too and I have it on all the time. I think the Shure has that facility too.

Indeed Indeed he did! he he he! Yes, the Fischer Stick has been in long term service. I have two IEM set ups. One where I hard wire directly in to a Behringer P16m that is connected via 'digital network' to our digital mixer, or for gigs when I don't have that luxury, such as deps, the Fischer Stick is so easy, light and out of the way. I leant it to a dep drummer recently and he loved it. I may even buy a P2 as a spare, not that I will ever need it mind!

I went somewhere in the middle and I love this thing. Built like a tank with a decent metal casing . The batteries seem to last forever and I love that you can run it in stereo or mono across a standard Mic XLR cable which locks in to place. (Or standard TRS if that takes your fancy)

I feel inspired! Hopefully I will find time to give my 76er a good scrub up too!

Joking aside, it is an incredibly simple amplifier to use. You’ll just have to trust me on that one. Easier to use than a microwave oven

Absolutely and utterly the @Bergantino Audio B|Amp. If we could get together you can try mine. It has an adjustable HPF and a feedback filter you can enable. A parametric EQ, compressor and a beautifully clean preamp that I’ve been really pleased with whatever I’ve plugged in to it. There’s the option to save three presets on it too, ideal if you switch from bass to bass. (Accessible from a wireless pedal no less!) For electric bass there are drive settings on board and both the compressor and drives can have a clean blend for those who like a bit of parallel processing to heat the signal up a bit. What I do love personally, given the interest in FRFR in bassyworld, is the addition of selectable ‘speaker profiles’ that can be enabled to tweak the response curves of connected cabinets from the Berg range. Although I should quickly add that Bergantino have just released a universal tweak that also works well on non-Berg cabinets. Actually, in all honesty you can use any preset on any cabinet. You’ve just got to use your ears

In all honesty I was comparing against my recollection of the KZ ZS10. Maybe I’m wrong, but the AS10 is yet to ‘wow me at this price point’ like the KZ10.

I dont know if I like them. I bought them from AliExpress and got a little discount on my first purchase. Like the previous KZ's I had I found them difficult to get in my ears even with the smallest flangey dudes. Maybe that's the problem but at the moment the sound isn't doing it for me. I'm not sure if I can send them back / sell them on.

I have a guitar headstock here where the tuning key screw holes have been drilled slightly on the skew. The holes in the maple headstock will need solidly filling in such a way that a new hole drilled could encroach on the border between the normal wood and filling. I am looking for possible solutions - just save myself the trouble and take it to a tech

@EBS_freak AS10's just arrived. They look rather nice! The presentation is also a step up verses the previous models I bought. They also seem much smaller than the other model too. I have included a (slightly worn ha ha) plectrum in the images to compare. I also have a second (spare) cable in the bag too!!! How cool is that??!

I have a brand new set sat next to me that I have been promising myself to get installed in to a bass.. I will be comparing them against the pickups in the bass and also the EMG HZ Passive P pickup too. If I pull my finger out, I will record samples of each for a BassChat review. Time it seems is not plentiful when it comes to setting aside some 'me time'.

I have the Line 6 Helix LT ready for an FRFR cabinet.. and my 'dream try out' is an RCF NX45a. However I neither have the funds or the opportunity to try out something that may well prove to be total overkill.. but then, since when did I ever do things by half?! lol QSC K12.2 is a speaker I keep coming back to look at but again I don't have any specifics to compare with right now. I'd love to hear the Yamaha DZR models too as they are brand new and could well be an interesting option verses say the DSR (and DXR mentioned)
