3. Is this sold or still available??

5. Shep, what's happened, I thought the pedals were your thing??
6. These are great little amps!!
7. Gone Now
8. Bought a pedal power supply from Neil very recently….., what a super chap to deal with. As above, Neil sent the supply for my approval before accepting any money for it, brilliant!! Trustworthy, polite and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again Neil.
9.
Whenever a Sei appears, Ziggy is soon to follow.
And for good reason, as it's a cracker of a bass!!
10.
It wasn't my intention to question the quality of the bass, i own several Wal basses myself. So i am familiar with it´s quality of build. But you rarely see a Wal with, what i thought it was, the masking tape. Must have been a language problem. Always wanted one like these.
I never actually even gave it any thought to be honest, and it was only when i wanted to sell that i needed to check with Paul as to what the woods were. I'm sure when i took possession of the bass from Wal i had seen the lack of info on the tape, but never really thought much of it as i was at that time obviously thinking of keeping them both forever……which is effectively what i have done until now…. Just to reassure you all, it does have a serial number
11. Yes, there is a small piece of what we call "Masking Tape" which i don't think Wal have ever changed over the years on the cavity cover, but with no writing on it or signatures etc. There is the original "Electric Wood, Sandown Works……." address label on the shielding though.
12.
Very nice fretless. But does this mean there's actually no information on who ever build that bass?
Well, you could look at it that way, but my other Wal was built by Pete at the same time as this one, and throughout the build process, it was Pete i dealt with on the finer issues. I guess, regardless of who actually built it, i'm in no doubt that it would be very difficult to actually differentiate between the skills of the personnel there at Wal at that time, as I'm sure is still the case today.
13.
34" or 35" scale?
It's 34
14. Thanks for that, I knew you would have a better memory than I
15. Hi All, I've had this Spitfire for some time now, and whilst originally it was getting a lot of use, it's not been used very much at all in the last few months, so it's being offered for sale now. Its pretty much a fantastic example of Bernie's exacting craftsmanship, not only in build, but also in sound. The combination of woods and pre-amp (Bernie's circuit) allow you to dial in a massive variety of tones. It plays superbly and remains very stable, which in my opinion is a necessity for a fretless. This was a custom build by the previous owner and has remained in the same condition all the time I have had it, which is as new. As far as the combination of woods are concerned, the core of the body is mahogany, the neck is a nice example of birdseye maple and the fingerboard is a generous piece of ebony. As far as the facing wood is concerned, I'm not entirely sure what that is, but I am sure I can easily find out what it is if needed. It comes with the GB hard case it was originally shipped in.
16. Maybe put sold in the title, save us looking only to find its sold?
17. Still not sold, whats the world coming to??
