  1. PMSL... yeah, live and learn is an expensive game innit? Good luck and looking forward to seeing your posts
  2. Well, I'm not alone then hahahaha Ah, Midi - I understand so little of how that works, I admit. but I can see the possibilities Interesting approach hahahaha - I like my basses though (ponders). I will be watching your posts @stewblack, as ever, with much interest. I am curious to see how "easy" it is to (a) use the Stomp as an FX board, (b) a midi switching master and (c) how much of the bells and whistles (the amp and cab sims, the routing etc etc etc etc etc) are needed for playing down the pub, and how many are really nice to have as recording and live tools. But this is not that forum is it hahaha
  3. I'm interested in understanding why you would want the Plethora and the Stomp together. Surely the Stomp has more than enough effects? I'm also interested as I'd love a decent multi-fx (said with a great amount of respect to the fact that neither the Line 6 nor the TCE are actually MFX units) and I've tossed about the idea of the Stomp vs the Effects vs the Plethora. I have never been a great user of drive (I love dry tones, but in a function band, as needs must...). Asking for myself
  4. I hear Dirt is on its way - not sure when, but TCE have said they would look at it should the demand be great. It's funny, you'd think TC would have at least one drive pedal in the TonePrint arsenal, but it would seem not... and yet, the MojoMojo is quite usable with bass
  5. That Bass Parametric EQ looks very, very interesting. How does the compressor compare with the "known" brands?
  6. Why thank you @Dov65. That'll work
  7. Update: A new (for me) SR506 arrived just a short while ago. Neck is amazing. I'd forgotten just how sleek the Ibanez 6 string beck is! What a joy. Please excuse the shoddy picture editing, but I wanted to get something up here 506 next to my 1205
  8. Thanks @Lfalex v1.1... I shall investigate... just hope I can find a spares shop that sells the buttons for these gems
  9. Hi all I have 2 Jim Dunlop SLS1031N Straplok locks - the top half that fits to your strap, but for the life of me, I have no clue where the knobs/buttons went to. Does anyone know where these can be bought? I really don't fancy shelling out £16-18 for another set.... or having to drink Grolsch again for the rubber grommets hahaha My thanks in advance
  10. Seriously? Wow - niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice trade mate
  11. Damn, all I have is an SR1205 which is amazing, but not as immaculate as this. What a gorgeous bass!!!
  12. 2 Questions if I may Does this have a gig bag or case any idea what the shipping costs would be? You're in Scotland, yes? Many thanks - Julian
  13. PM sent (apologies, internet issues, so message didn't transmit until early this morning)
  14. Wow, that's one beautiful bass!

  16. That 1305 is a beast - they are stunners!!!
  17. My absolute pleasure @Oldman: Good luck with your search mate
  18. How about the SR505E? A little less than your 705, but just as sexy. Or the SR605E for a little bit extra?
  19. Ah, lucky devil... for all the positives that Brexit potentially can/will/might bring about, musical instruments from the EU are not one of them 😭 Too right... makes me almost (almost) not want a BTB again... nah!!! LOL The GIO is such a great bass for beginners and anyone on a budget. Mate of mine bought one, then spent a little on EMG pickups and EQ and it sounded terrific and of course, played really smoothly! YAY IBANEZ!!!
  20. Just out of interest, did you get this prior or subsequent to the Brexit tax laws? Also, which shop in Germany? I am looking at the SR306EB (I sold my 6 and immediately miss having it) - what a stunner, and for that price!!! A steal Ibanez make basses that just want to be played. I've fiddled in store with the cheapest of the cheap and although they sounded weak, they played like dreams - bung in some decent electronics and you have a better than average instrument.
  21. Damn, that fretless is a beaut!!!
  22. And as I deliberate - it's gone... I really do need to get off my hands some times and just make the move Congrats on the sale @RussFM
  23. Question: if I use the 3 switches as a patch, or a scene... can I engage all of them together? All on simultaneously? IOW: button 1 is (say) a compressor, button 2 a preamp and button 3 a chorus??
  24. Many thanks @jrixn1 and @RussFM. I suspected as much, just wasn't sure. I supposed, incorrectly, that you could assign 3 effects per switch, which would allow me to have the comp/pre on each and every switch and add an effect where required. Ah bugger....
  25. Hi all, I'm considering getting a Zoom B3 as a means of reducing my footprint (train travel means lightening the load) and also having a few possibilities for my function band without the need for a lot of pedals (which I don't have). Hopefully this will be a simple enough question to answer, but can I do this.... Have button 1 as a permanently ON compressor/preamp Button 1 is a universal setting regardless of the bank. (same basic sound throughout) Button 2 and 3 as effects for as-and-when required effects. Oh, can I use a Boss type of 9v to power the unit, or is there a specific power supply I will need. And my thanks in advance. Julian
