  1. Got that - but can it do it "as well" as the MB3? I compromised my tuner and compressor (BOSS TU-2 and EBS MultiComp) for the MB3 - and happily too... can the (in anyone's opinion) HXS do the "replacing"?
  2. I use it as my pre-amp, tuner, compressor and DI - the DI alone is worth its weight in gold... I am, of course, open to selling it and getting a Radial or something of that level (I can't ever see myself looking at the "here, have my kidney too" range of DIs). The MB3 is a killer sounding unit... and one I'd be loathe - but not entirely opposed - to selling. i'm all ears @velvetkevorkian
  3. Hi all, So I am closer and closer to getting myself an HX Stomp, I just have one question... I run into an EBS MicroBass 3... do I put the HX before the MB3 or through the MB3's effects loop - or after for that matter? I currently run a Zoom MS-60B through the loop and I'm happy with what I am getting from that setup, so my natural thought process would be to do the same with the HX... I know there is "no right or wrong way" to do most things... but... well... to the experts, the floor is yours My thanks in advance Julian aka Glassmoon
  4. Hi all, Another pedal for the "not using, so it should rather go" pile... my beloved EBS OctaBass. Besides a few "well loved" cosmetic scuffs, it works perfectly, but every now and again I get a very soft pop when engaging/disengaging. EBS says either clean the switch with WD40 or replace it, which I was about to do... but that's why the price is what it is. Thanks for stopping by. Julian aka Glassmoon
  5. Awesome unit and killer price - GLWTS
  6. Ah, cheers @lee650. Yeah, I love these - and this is the 3rd one I've owned, but I just don't use it - wish I did and could, but sadly, pub bands don't have too many opportunities for Jacesque chorus hahahaha
  7. Now £50 incl. P&P to the UK. Selling my EBS UniChorus. Just not using it, and it deserves to be used! A few minor scuffs, otherwise in great condition. I have no idea where the box disappeared to, but will package it securely for sure. Many thanks Julian aka Glassmoon
  8. Sadly, that was the same for me
  9. Aaah, let me try that. I'm ussuming that it works in the "engaged" position, and I won't be able to line up an effect? Truth be told, this is going to be a simple, non-tap dancing affair, so this sounds like the perfect way to get there. Now to assign some sounds LOL HUGE thanks @MartinB
  10. That is actually true... anyway, my next step is to figure how I can go from patch to patch without bending down
  11. Nope - same crap - I'll try on my work machine edit: work machine failed too... I can only think that the cable is doge. It's not a train smash, not at all...
  12. Yeah, that would've been 1st prize I guess... it really was just down to cost in the end
  13. Let me try that - ta! Actually, I'll uninstall everything Zoom related just to be safe
  14. No - it does see the unit (device manager) and it does connect to the GitHub site - just fine actually... it's the other one that everyone seems to recommend that can't/won't see it!!!
  15. I looked at those - not sure how they will work though - but at that price, and they are non-intrusive, that is a win!!
  16. Very interesting... I can't win, I've tried with 2 cables and I get the same issue all round. I will try on my work laptop and see if that wins. My thing now is to figure out the simple operations like how do I change from patch A to patch B... it's been a while since I played with anything like this LOL
  17. I've been reading a little on cables, and apparently anything with power... a cable with one of those barrels on it, a hub, anything that has power, will enable power/charge mode and not data transfer mode. But I guess that's what happens when Zoom don't ship a unit with their own cable LOL
  18. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! That is a valid point! The cable has one of those barrels... so I'm thinking that is for power, not data (see attached) Bugger
  19. Hi all Anyone here have any idea why the MS-60B connects just fine to my PC, but the software can't see the unit - nor can I execute the firmware upgrade? (it doesn't need it, just interested why I can't execute) See the pics attached... At a loss here... Firmware update error ToneLib Error BTW - I found this page - https://g200kg.github.io/zoom-ms-utility/ - and I am able to edit!
  20. Many thanks again @Al Krow I will start with the software today - assuming the unit arrives today, as expected.... it's been a while since I used any software, but I believe the Zoom program is pretty easy to get around.
  21. I did consider the + version @Al Krow, but ultimately, it was down to the price... Not a cheapskate, just need to get my head wrapped around the unit hee hee No doubt I'll upgrade sooner rather than later. Top tip mate
  22. So, I've pulled the trigger on the Zoom MS-60B. Kinda excited for this to arrive and to get playing. As much as the B3 (which I have played a little with some years back) and other Zoom units look amazing, it is the dinky footprint of the 60 that got me. I'll be taking off my EBS chorus for this one... now to learn how to use it hahahaha
  23. Ah, thanks @tauzero. The 60 is a great option. I'm not at all familiar with them other than lots of people seem to really love them. Excellent
  24. @SamIAm, thank you so much for those. I've never really looked at the B1-4, I guess cos it looks "plastic and could break", but I will have to take a closer look. The B2-4 looks great. I feel daft for not even considering that one. Wow. Ta!!
  25. Hi all, This could end up being a long discussion or a heated debate, but what I would like, is advise/input/opinions/options for a good quality, not badly priced, simple MultiFX unit for use in a typical pub cover band. Barring several months usage of a BOSS GT-10B some years ago, I have only ever had multiple pedal boards, and in the last 4 years, I've stripped right down to having (besides my preamp) an octave (for a Stevie Wonder keyboard vibe) and chorus (cos I love chorus). But I've now joined a covers band and I have a need for a couple of synth/keyboard tones as well as a few different drives (subtle to brutal). I've been looking recently at the Line 6 POD Express Bass, mostly cos it's under £200 and also as it looks fairly "easy" to get a few decent effects setup for the half dozen songs I'd likely use effects on. But, this is where it gets interesting, I've been thinking that I'd most likely never really need IRs and all those kinds of things. I've managed fine until now, so I'm not sure if I have the right mind to figure those things out. Although from what I've read on these pages, the whole IR and amp/cab sim side of things is huge if you want to use IEMs.. So, I'm also looking at the old faithful Zoom B3, simple, easy to use and cheap. I don't want to spend a fortune, I would prefer something small (the HX Stomp fits that bill perfectly), and ultimately, something that is not going to be a lot of oomph with a little usage... Money spent on things not used seems daft to me. Sorry for the long message for a simple question, but I do like context LOL. My thanks in advance for what I know, will be terrific input. Julian aka Glassmoon
