Utterly hopeless trying to resist. Looking for a status neck to go on one of the maple necked basses now.

I was going to sell on my M2 (4 string teal blue with maple board) but then realised it had one of the nicest neck profiles I've ever played. The neck also has a really luxury feeling satin finish on it. As well as this, the action on my M2 is the lowest of all my basses. Tonally the humbuckers on the M2 are a bit dark sounding and it could do with a bit more sizzle on the treble. My V3s were worlds apart from the M2 in this respect. Must be single coils vs humbuckers as they both use the same Sire Heritage preamp. Definitely think that the coil options via the switches on the higher end models would be a really good thing to have. For all that I'm really fond of my M2. For me the neck is way,way above its price point.

Peter bought my Sadowsky SBP2 preamp pedal which arrived with him today. Paid quickly and a pleasure to deal with as always. Hope the pedal serves you well. All the best and thanks again Keir

Now sold. 49 key virtual analogue synth. 200 programs/presets, onboard FX, can double as a sound card/input for PC. Powerful 3 oscillator synth engine. Capable of great pads, bass and synth sound. I've gigged this one a bit but still in very good condition with no issues. Comes with box and psu. I'm in North Shropshire and work in Telford. Could possibly meet Crewe or Stoke as well. Can post for £10

If these sound and play and are built to the same standard as my HB TE-62 Telecaster then I'm definitely interested in buying one. Either Dakota red or Shell pink.

Met Stuart today and bought his Overwater/Tanglewood Contemporary Jazz 5. Stuart is a top fella and I could easy have stopped a while more chatting bass with him but he had work to get back to and I had a drive home before rush hour. Totally trustworthy seller with great taste in basses, thoroughly recommended. Thanks again Stuart, I set the bass up for my own preferences and it's an absolute peach! Keir

Bought Paul's TC BG250 combo from him earlier today. Took a drive over to his place to pick it up and spent half an hour playing his absolutely wonderful sounding and playing P bass. Could have easy spent a couple of hours there talking bass. Top fella, absolute credit to basschat. Many thanks Paul! Keir

I had two USA Deluxes (4HH and 5HH) and they were both superb basses. Massively underrated imo -

Yes he did. From the 'about' section on his home page. From 2002-2007, I worked at Sadowsky Guitars in Brooklyn NY in the Shipping Department where I took care of shipping & handling as well as do all final inspections of instruments. From early 2009 until mid 2010 I came back to work as a Builder.

*NOW SOLD* *Price drop and trade options added on last post* Sterling Ray 25CA Classic Active with 2 band EQ and slab body in Toluca Blue with orange swirl pickguard. Lovely bass, no dings, no structural or playability issues. I bought a pair of these to get back into playing fives and have been really impressed with them, but have since bought a few other five string basses and now something has to make way to recoup some money back. Can be auditioned/collected Market Drayton or may be able to meet Telford, Shrewsbury, Crewe or Stoke. Alternatively will post if buyer arranges their own courier service and level of cover.

Overwater Aspiration Elite 5 - I'm very impressed!
dub_junkie replied to franzbassist's topic in Bass Guitars
Great basses! And congrats on snagging your bass🙂 I had a couple of Elites - a flame maple 5 and a wenge 4 as well as a cherry red fretless 5 Deluxe. Mine were all bolt on. Only moved them on as part of a general cull of my bass collection which had gotten out of hand at the time. Really liked them, played the Elite 5 a fair bit in the band I was in and it always sounded really good, especially with the pan pot in the middle and a smidge of bass boost. The pull up for prescence/hi treble was a handy feature too. Would definitely buy another if I had the funds. -
Got myself a Metro Express 5. I already own a Valenti jazz with the Sadowsky preamp as well as a SBP2 pedal, and have really come to appreciate the simplicity and the sound of their preamps

Received this just the other day after BillyBass posted it up on here as being on a blowout deal with PMT. Have looked it over and over and can't see any flaw. Action was high when it arrived - now sorted and there was no battery in. Originally thought I had a dud. Also there is no passive tone control which is a bit of a missed opportunity. The good bits - the roasted neck is an absolute joy - it has a really comfortable profile and luminlay side dots. The DiMarzios sound great passive and the preamp is not anywhere near as bad as I was expecting. This is some hiss on the treble and mid pots but only at the extreme end of travel. I tried it passive through my Sadowsky SBP2 preamp pedal and...well it has that sound which with my Valenti having the Sadowsky preamp and the subject of my NBD pt2 also having one, I'm growing to love that signature tone more than any other I think. Lots of other cool little appointments on this bass but lastly the lustre to the finish is up there with the USA Musicman and G&L basses Ive owned. The pics really don't do it justice. Looking forward to gigging this one next weekend!
