  1. Pearl Blue Sterling which I picked up today. Been ten years since I last had one but enjoying the neck on this which was what I always liked so much about these basses.
  2. Picked up a 2014 deluxe in the limited edition rootbeer finish. I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for these basses - they’re really very good! Going to try and source an H with rosewood fingerboard next. Specific I know but I want it sufficiently different from the one I have on all counts
  3. I liked the black at first but the parchment white one grew on me.

What a pretty Sterling. Love it!😍
  5. Exactly what I’m looking for but pretty sure I’m down to pick one up tomorrow while travelling with my job.
  6. Love how the headstock facing is also the nut. Never seen that before. Very cool looking bass 😎
  7. I had two exactly the same (one with a crazy figured maple board) Both superb basses, I liked just about everything about them - I bought the two for gigging at the start of last year but then the gigs stopped. I then had a fresh round of GAS from being on here too much instead of playing and started buying a lot more basses. Somewhere in amongst all that, both Corts got sold. I raised the single coil and lowered the humbucker which helped a lot.
  8. Classic StingRay (think it’s a 2014)
  9. Haha possibly. I also have a set up with a 1x15 and a 2x10 but that doesn’t stop at my house.
  10. I was looking to sell it this time last year but kept hold of my LTD RB-1006. I find it inspiring to play and for me, the low action offsets the wider neck.
  11. ^ that black M2000 looks great👍🏻 my own experience is that the LB100 sounded great and was a really well put together P-bass. (Neck was just a tad too big) and the JB had the 70s pickup spacing so it sounded (and played) sufficiently different to the JB-2 to warrant keeping it at the time. The blocks and binding looked great on it too. The Sonic blue JB-2 though was my ‘go to’ G&L. Everything was just about right on that bass. Will definitely buy another of those.
  12. I had a pair of Asats many moons ago. A gold one with binding and a cherryburst semi-hollow. Never really understood why I didn’t at least keep one of them. Lovely basses - looks great in this burst with the rosewood board, if I had the funds right now I’d buy it. Top seller too!
  13. Lovely!! Still my favourite basses even though I don’t own one at the moment😞
  14. These days it’s possibly my Overwater by Tanglewood Aspiration Deluxe 5 string. Cheapest bass I own and and just such a great playing and sounding bass and wouldn’t want to lose it considering what they go for
  15. These are very nice. I think it’s possibly the only Tribute model I haven’t owned though I did have a full fat USA SB-2 with a birdseye maple neck and ebony fingerboard. That one had been modded with a tone control but I liked the sound of the thing with the tone wide open. iirc the bridge pickup’s tonal characteristics and output meant it was best added in desired amount to give different flavours to the (main) split coil MFD pickup.
  16. Thank god Was seriously thinking up schemes to buy this and then make it and my Ice Blue Bongo 4H my perfect future gigging pair for when lockdown ends. Love my 4H (also a 2009)It has a superb neck, the ergonomics of the bass when standing are first class and the tone/EQ is spot on and easy to dial in. I always found the two pickup Bongos had me fiddling around with the tone controls constantly. The H is very much plug in and play which is why I now covet them above the two pickup variants.
  17. This past year I’ve been buying Cort, G&L Tributes and the Overwater by Tanglewood basses. All are brilliant imo and it’s been both a worthwhile exercise and a great experience trying different models from each of the three. I particularly like the offshore Overwaters - they’re outstanding and I have hung onto three of those - a four, a five and a fretless five. As well as those three, my Cort GB94 is a keeper. I’ve got a few USA basses as well but the Cort and Tanglewaters (?) aren’t going anywhere.
  18. I messaged them last year about a used MusicMan ‘Sledge’ Classic Sabre bass they had. Never got a reply then the bass was taken off the page about a week later. Possibly the bass was already sold, but I thought at the time if they didn’t reply I wasn’t going to chase them up. Personally I wish I had chased after the bass a bit harder though.
  19. Great stuff! really happy with my GB94. It’s an model with Seymour Duncan pickups and preamp. The next Cort I hope to own is a B5 plus AS RM the one with the roasted maple neck and MarkBass preamp. been intrigued by those since they first appeared. gratuitous pic of my GB94
  20. Much love for the Cort GB basses from me!😍 looks great with the roasted neck.
  21. I owned the Korean GB99F Jazz for around six months or so last year. I think it had Entwistle JXBN pickups with plain covers at the time. It was also my synth controller for a few months. Terrific bass and though I miss it, I still have a GB94 which is lush.
  22. Had one exactly the same as this for a couple of years with another Ray 35 in a different finish as back up. Great basses these. GLWTS!
  23. They’re brilliant playing (and sounding) basses no doubt. I’ve owned a few and the necks have all been consistently good. The action on my 4H is lower than any of my other basses and I find it inspiring to play. GLWTS
  24. Lovely looking thing at a bargainous price. Top seller too🙂 GLWTS!
  25. 3k? Just over six years ago I managed to snag one of the last ‘133 series’ 2EQ StingRays in black with a rosewood board for £1099 brand new.
