1. Thanks. Scale length is 34" on the treble side and 35.5" on the bass side iirc
2. Update from my last group shot a few years back. Front row : MTD Kingston fretless 5, Ibanez Ashula II fretted/fretless 7 string hybrid, Sterling by MusicMan Ray34CA Back row : LTD RB1006, Ovation B768, Gretsch G5440LSB, Ibanez SR806FF fan fret
3. **SOLD LOCALLY** Boss RC-2 Loopstation with instruction booklet. On board drum machine/rhythm guide. Only selling as I'm upgrading to a Boss RC300 Loopstation.
4. Now been set up by myself to my liking and given a good clean up.Sounds, looks and plays fab. Strings on it are well used and dull but I don't feel any need to change them until I put some flatwound strings on it. As always hoping it's a keeper and that I don't have my head turned by something else on here/gumtree etc🤞
5. Thing is I was after a Precision and was going to put flats on it. Then this came up. Think l will put flats on this for a none more old school vibe Ye the switch too. Seems quirky and a bit over the top but maybe that's how I see Gretsch as a brand anyway. Saying that I liked the selector switch on the G&L L2K and Asat basses I owned in the past Thought it would neck dive but can't say I feel I'm ever holding the neck up. It's ok on the forearm too. I have a deep bowl Ovation Elite bass which also has a square edge where my forearm rests and being pushed out a bit further can get uncomfortable after extended playing time. No real complaints with the ergonomics of the Gretsch though and even if there was I'd forgive it on account how drop dead gorgeous it looks.
6. Got this rather fetching Gretsch long scale today in a trade. Lovely thing it is too and I've been playing it pretty much since I got it! btw I don't think I've ever seen this before on a bass but it has a master volume as well as individual volumes for each pickup.
7. Andertons are showing the 2019 USA made LB100 (and JB) Standards for order. https://www.andertons.co.uk/g-l-fullerton-standard-lb-100-bass-in-emerald-blue-metallic-w-caribbean-rosewood-fingerboard-(non-cites)
8. Sterling Ray34ca which arrived today. Still setting it up to my liking but already hoping it fills a niche in my basses and stays.
9. sorry to hijack this for sale thread but there's at least one more in the UK I know of as I used to own a SR5 in this colour Lovely Stingray this. if I hadn't my readies earmarked for a Classic Sabre I would be all over it Keir
10. The LB100 fullerton standards are in vintage White and emerald blue
11. Andertons have quoted me around £1300 for a new 2019 Fullerton Standard bass (LB100 or JB2) http://glguitars.com/product-category/fullerton-standard-basses/
12. MTD Kingston with Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 stingray preamp
13. SRSC805 'Cerro' SR806FF
14. I took delivery of an SRSC805 Cerro singlecut yesterday. And my SRFF806 :
15. Lovely! I'm a recent convert to Ibanez but I am rather taken with my fanned fret 6 string after it re-ignited my passion for playing. So much so I have another two new Soundgears on their way to me at the end of the week. Can't wait!!
16. After years of owning the full fat USA Stingray 5s I now have two of these - a honeyburst/rosewood and a black cherryburst/maple. These are really great basses with all the same attributes that make the US models such a joy to play. GLWTS! Keir
17. Bought new from Guitar Guitar in Glasgow last weekend. Was after a one of these with a maple board and this rubyredburst is a great finish. Owned a few Stingray five strings in the past. Liking the SBMM version too. 18. Owned by me from new until I traded it with Steve last month. (I originally bought it for a particular project that folded) I had tried a fair few electro acoustic basses before settling on this one after being taken with the big, articulate sound of these. The build quality is top notch and it has a couple of genuine design innovative features too. Steve's a top bloke as well! Buy/trade with the utmost confidence. GLWTS! Keir
19. Selling my Hardwire CM-2 as having a bit of a change round. This one is a later CM-2 and states its a distortion. It's actually their overdrive and for a long time the CM-2 was labeled as 'tube overdrive' (The Hardwire SC-2 was their distortion pedal in the range. The CM-2 has quite a wide range of gain on it which is possibly the reason they changed the name. I have used it on both guitar and bass. Great sounding pedal with really good build quality for not a lot of sheckles. Near mint condition, Comes boxed with the manual and the extras (stomp lock etc) Velcro is already on bottom of pedal £35 Postage by RM 2nd class signed for is £4.10
20. That is a really good price. I just sold one elsewhere and got 50 quid more than what you are asking.Had plenty of interest in it too. The passive ones don't seem to be seen as much either. lovely bass..... GLWTS!
21. I owned this bass for a year around 2008. I traded it for a 3EQ Stingray in vintage sunburst which was a daft move in retrospect and then I nearly managed to get it back from Richard a few years later. Brilliant bass, superb player. If I had the funds for it I would be in for it. As it's definitely a bass I regret letting go. Someone should buy this and then just keep it and enjoy owning it and using it for a long, long time. (rich words coming from me I know) Every time I see this bumped back up I think of ways I could maybe buy it back but alas the bass fund is empty :-(
22. Just bought a Tanglewood Canyon III fretless from Stuart. Easy, smooth transaction and the bass is just great for the money. Stuart was a pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Highly recommended! Keir
23. bought a Tanglewood Curbow bass from Mike. bass arrived as described, straight up guy, easy to deal with. many thanks Keir
