1. original Line 6 pod pro with 16 amp and cabs + FX (up to 3 at once) 36 programmable memory locations. £90 + £10 p&p
2. Gutted the pedal I ordered 5 weeks ago never showed. No response to my mails either.
3. Wish I could review the Ana Echo I ordered but after 25 days it still hasn't arrived. Anyone else still waiting the same length of time?
4. possible last bump. may take a bass in p/ex (G&L Tribute,MM Sub,Sterling by MM,Fender etc) but will need at least half the value in cash as I already have my eyes on something else.
5. Bump for the start of the week. Some new pics added
6. I like it! I still hanker after the fullerton red G&L Legacy I sold to you. I had owned that guitar from new, imported directly from the States. I was fond of the neck on that guitar.it was different from anything else I had at that time,G&L's included - it was a big old handful....sounds fairly similiar in profile to this one? Man I miss my G&L's - at one time I had the red Legacy, a black Asat Special and a blueburst Invader XL Std. great guitars......
7. more pics
8. Either a '99 or '00 (can't remember which) The colour is pearl lavender. I've never seen another SR5 in this finish, which was discontinued around 2001. There are no structural, electronic or playability issues with the bass. Cosmetically there are a few nicks and dings in the finish. The original strap buttons have been replaced with what looks like schaller straplocks. The top horn screwhole has been re-drilled at some point but I've had no issues whatsoever with this.More visibly, the neck is grubby in places. It was like this when I bought the bass five years ago. It hasnt got any dirtier in the time I've had it as its been reguarly waxed. The bass is also missing the white switch tip. Musicman hard case is included in the sale. The bass weighs 9lb 11oz. It balances well and plays great. I kept this over G&L's,Bongo 5 strings,Spector Euro 5's and some other right tasty basses and in truth I will will be sad to see it go but I'm playing skinny strings in a band these days and need to fund further purchases on that side of things . Price is £795. Viewing and collection from just outside Ayr, Ayrshire. Could meet if further afield and would post if buyer arranges this. Payment would need to be by bank transfer or cheque as I no longer use paypal.I have done countless deals here on basschat without a hitch. I have a couple of feedback threads on here too. thanks for looking Keir
9. I have the vibrato, pre amp booster, spectrum enhancer and tm300 amp modeller pedals. No problems with any of them at all. Going to buy the slow gear and dimension C copies as well.
10. Traded my Warwick Streamer std bass for Peter's ESP Ltd H-250 guitar earlier this evening. Met at Dumfries and sat chinwagging for over an hour. Lovely guitar and a true gent. thanks again Peter!
11. Hi, will take £250 for the Streamer. I'm playing guitar in a band these days so would be into guitar trades eg Epiphone 335/Les Paul/Telecaster/PRS SE etc
12. Mint condition German made Streamer Std with Carolena body, ovangkol neck, wenge fingerboard, 2 MEC pickups and passive VVT controls. Warwick gig bag. Great player!
13. forgot to mention that the original tuners have been replaced with Schallers will now offer this for sale at £275 also more pics as promised:
14. also should mention that previous owner sanded off the 'made in mexico' and serial number off the front of the headstock. possible to see where they've been sanded off when viewed up close and from certain angles. needs to be mentioned for the sake of full disclosure. trade value £275 seem about right?
15. Sold all my guitars and typical!....I'm now in the process of joining a band as guitarist. Anyway I want something with better pickups than my yamaha pacifica. interested in most styles eg Epiphone Dot,Les Paul, telecaster etc. Looking to do a deal for my Mark Hoppus bass in daphne blue. the bass is in really good condition but has some discoloration on the inside of the horns and some of the body edges, Previous owner must have smoked about 60 a day I think as the gig bag still smells of stale cigarettes after 3 months of owning it. NO structural or playability issues with the bass at all. I would like to get a quick deal done on this as I start rehearsing next week. will get better pics up tomorrow. in the meantime these are all I have of the Hoppus
16. I bought one from Thomann a couple of weeks ago. Admittedly it was not great out of the box and if I had paid £400, I'd have been returning it! But I knew most of the issues were set up ones with these basses, having read plenty of user/owner reviews before purchasing mine. I've spent a bit of time setting it up since I got it, I've also rounded the fingerboard edges and I'm happy with it now. I shouldn't have to do that I agree, but what the OP says is spot on, if you feel competent at setting it up it's worth £155 (imo). When I ordered mine, it was only the black ones left but that would have been my first choice anyway.
17. I picked up one in the same finish last week off Glasgow Gumtree. really liking it and quite possibly a keeper!
18.
That's a long time ago now isn't it? We're getting old mate T
sure was Tony, it was about 15 basses ago and when I was the right side of 40 Keir
19. This was my old bass and was traded with tonyf for his Spector. At the time I had this and a gold solid body Asat bass too and tony chose this one out of the two. I loved this bass and loved gigging it. Lush bass but as stated is going for twice what it went for in a few BC deals. when it was mine:
20.
These are the original pups, G&L pups are amazing so I'm not sure why they went with EMG for this model.
Somebody more knowledgable than me on here regarding G&L said the L5500 was a stopgap model. The previous G&L 5 string (L5000) had really tight string spacing so the 5500 filled the gap until the L2500 was ready. I don't think that many of them were made. I played one in McCormacks a number of years ago and I quite liked it. A very different set of tones from the usual G&L MFD/tri-tone set up for sure. Personally I'd kep the bass as is and try and get a trade on it for something you'd prefer
21. Colin bought my black Stingray 5H this week. Paid the money into my account quickly and arranged everything from there. Friendly on the phone and a pleasure to do business with! Second time I've sold something to him and both straightforward. Cheers Colin, Really appreciate the hassle free nature of the deal.
