1. I have a chance to aquire a G&L bass I've coveted a long time and with no funds available I need to sell a bass in the hope of getting it. a few months ago this Godlyke was sold and then it wasn't. to be honest I wasnt that bothered about it not going at the time as its a great fretless but in the 3 months since I've hardly touched it. I got this from eubassix on here 18 months ago. I'm sure he'll vouch for what a good fretless it is. Likewise the chaps who tried it at the Moffat bass bash. spec Ash body with 3A flame maple top in satin finished trans black (not an oil finish) 2 octave 3 pc maple set neck with ebony board and brass nut SGC MM+J pickups with 3 band 18v preamp Wilkinson bridge and Gotoh tuners pickup output X2 & mid frequency trim pots on circuit board the bass is extremely light and has a wonderful action. Its effortless to play. Godlyke basses are no longer available. they were hand made in Japan. the workmanship is top drawer.they had a retail close to $3k when new £500 with the gig bag I got it in. I can 24 hour courier to most of the UK for £20 which includes insurance. paypal no good to me. would need to be a cheque or money paid into my account. I've bought and sold a number of basses on here and can supply references if needed anyone in the south of Scotland is welcome to come and give it a try pics
2. Bob's black 4 string was my favourite bass I tried at the moffat bassbash. I played a lot of great basses that day but that one just felt right from the off. I'd have chosen it above everything else (including my own)
3. yes I do sometimes when I think the song or material needs it.
4. I sold this bass to a mate last year and bought it back off him a couple of weeks back. It's the most aggressive sounding bass I've ever owned, like a MM Sterling but much more in your face. None of its tones can be got on the L-2000 which is the main reason I got it back. I like playing this one with a pick - its beastly!
5. I have the demo but havent tried it yet other than having a quick look (I've only just become proficient with Cakewalk after what seems an age) Reason user here also - best bit of music kit I ever bought. period.
6. 2004 Gibson Les Paul Std Ltd Edition I'm selling for a friend who has owned the guitar from new. He now lives up in Skye so we both agreed it'd be better for me to have the guitar here and see what I can do for him Santa Fe Sunrise Ebony fretboard Kluson tuners smaller (bound) headstock with "flowerpot" inlay Gibson burstbucker pickups nickel hardware white(as opposed to usual cream)binding throughout Gibson USA case http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product...tion?sku=517844 £1200 ono or take USA Fender Telecaster (Std/Dlx/RI) in part exchange

9.
Prince: Prince in action:
(that) Prince looks great in all his pearl purpleness. I used to have a musicman in that same combo. always reminded me of the colour of the foil wrapper on a Cadburys dairy milk. I love them too
10. great basses these Tributes. I had a natural L2000 which was a beauty Matt that green L-1500 was indeed a heavy fella (incidentally that bass could be on its way back to me soon) I've owned half a dozen other USA models and all were/are much lighter than it. Keir
11. my favourite 5 too. yours looks great
12. hey Sam,that is a sweet LE. I saw your post in the ebmm saying you were expecting something new - I thought it'd be a USA Sterling single H, no idea it was this beauty.... congrats on a great bass, did you get this and hang on to to your $$ ? Keir
13. A pair of ebmm Steve Morse signature models - a Y2D and a Standard G&L Legacy USA Std
14. ^^that white stingray 5 is possibly my favourite in this whole thread. its the tits! fwiw heres a few I (some foolishly) let go white sparkle Sterling, traded to wavydavey on here. I'd love to think I'll maybe trace and get this one back one day. candy apple red Sterling, traded to eubassix saphire black HH Bongo, traded to bigwan for the 5HH I have now white HS Bongo, traded with power of ten on here(that man has an amazing musicman collection!) vintage sunburst Stingray, went to jezzaboy a few months back teal 2EQ Stingray, retrofitted later with a Status graphite neck and then stupidly sold on ebay (though I did have bills to pay) teal SUB active, bought by v max blues before I was a member on here there were others before these - a natural late 80s Sabre fretless,a black pre EB, an early 90s blueburst SR5, and a 97 honeyburst Sterling none of which I have any pics of unfortunately cheers Keir
15. cant say I blame you for feeling that way about them. fantastic basses imo.
16. and to think you could have had it
17. I had a great day meeting some lovely people and trying a load of sweet basses. Mrs Dub,Andrea enjoyed it too. It was a bit of a crazy journey back home with all the water lying on the back roads but it was worth it Highlights for me were Bob's black Pedulla Rapture  ,Haimesy's Zon Sonus 6, Greenkings USA Spector and Toasted's Sadowsky (and Celinder - lush!) I also got to try some beautiful ACGs and Shukers. If I'd tried more I'd have loved them just as much I'm sure. Brilliant day and count me in for the next one. Keir
18. musicman have just discontinured this colour (as of 15th October). shame as its one of the best imo.
19. I tried them once on a Sterling and it was an awful experience. I was only happy again when I changed back to roundwounds. Never ever again for me. I quite like flats on P-basses for that old school thump but thats about it.
20. yes I am. planning on bringing 3 basses nd the Bongo will be one of them
21. best trade I ever did mate. your old 5HH is just epic! Sapphire Black is a cool finish. very understated.
