1. bump for a couple more pics (courtesy of Eubassix) and a revised sale price of £650

since the review the pre amp board was changed so the trim pot in the cavity adjusts the mid freq and the control on the front of the bass is mid boost/cut and not the reverse as was the case when it originally shipped for test

  2. I got this Disciple 5 from Eubassix earlier this year and is the actual test bass reviewed by Bass Player mag (hard copy of review will ship with the bass)
these are hand made in Japan and the workmanship is faultless. The bass has no issues whatsoever and comes with a good quality warwick gig bag.

Would rather trade if possible(cash either way depending whats out there)

interested in an S1 Jazz,G&Ls,Spector,Lakland or Warwick 4 or 5 string.others considered too

Looking for £695 ono in a sale

  6.
Hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like the body might be finished in the discontinued Red Swirl, like mine. If so, it's not a refin.

Here's mine (a pig to photograph properly)

thats lovely! - nig had a L5500 up FS on here a few months back in the blue swirl. Both look great - the gaudier the better with G&Ls I say,I love the metal flakes in particular - not too long ago there was a green metal flake SB2 with maple board on ebay that had my eyes bulging out their sockets every time I saw it. that and the silver flake JB-2 I missed out on twice

and for the seller flat black is always good :)

  7.
Both lovely basses DJ, but the Bolin in particular is exceptional! I've never seen a nicer looking single-cut bass...
thanks for the kind words. I agree,I think it is very elegant looking.
MMmm, I like the look of that valenti
thanks. I'm no expert on J basses but I've played enough to know this one is right up there. Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure the 3 previous owners all had Sadowskys which may be the the only reason for it not stopping in any one place too long.
This bass has replaced my G&L SB-2 as my "go to" 4 string and if I ever see another Valenti up for sale/trade I think one of the G&L's is for the chop. :brow:

    Keir

  8. BB,the Bolin plays great seated or standing. the extender is ugly but i wish i had one on my Asat bass.

Ped,I have the same number as I had when I got the StingRay 5 back in March - 8 - since then a pair of Sterlings and the flame maple natural Spector have gone :) and in came the Bolin,Valenti and a Godlyke Disciple 5

  9. This Valenti has travelled around the country a fair bit and I've been interested in it since it first appeared for sale/trade here on BC. I wanted a Jazz bass and I'm really glad its this one I've got... Its sublime and my new #1 player !

This Bolin NS 5 has been owned by at least a couple of other basschatters too. Inspiring to play, the piezo sounds terrific and theres loads of tones on tap. I also love the singlecut and slotted headstock

  10. Dave, you probably know now I wasnt lying when I said at the time, I had to get it out the house because after a fettle it played slicker than my USA ones

I was a right twat letting it go so I'm glad you're still very happy with it.I'd definetely buy another Tribute L2K or hopefully a JB-2 sometime in the future.
