Hello - i've been lurking for ages and thought i'd best show my face Whilst I play guitar and octave mandolin it's mostly bass. i play both kinds of music - precision and jazz I play in a post-rock band and mess about with sampler heavy stuff too. play absolutely anything going at home. Mostly dance to Motown... I seem to be taking on a few bass projects lately (buying cheap and doing up for personal use) - which is mostly why i've joined the forum as i like the market place. Also like the fact that people on here have done lots of research that they share about. Good stuff. This is my Squier VM - i bought it totally beat up for £85 and spent a few months on it - changed every screw and Nitro-Cellulose Rothko sprayed it Seafoam. I kept the SDs though... [attachment=146443:squier VM.jpg] And this is my '89 Sunn Mustang. Cost me £95 from a shop and it sounds/plays great. I have replaced most of the fittings (there was a MIJ sticker under the scratchplate!) and popped some SD quarter pounders in it.
