1. It's a '67 Jazz the same as Trigger's broom is original What would be a fair price for it? Hamster
2. Ahhh, that's not fair. That tune's bugging me now, I've got to learn it. My slapping's getting better but I'm still way off the double-thumbing trick. Going to drive the wife / kids / neighbours / spiders / guinea pigs and any visiting relations bonkers nailing this one  Hamster
3. Hi Zoe glad you made it back Hamster
4.
That depends on what your definition of a good bottom end is.
Something that can blow the head off a pint of beer 100' from the stage, but not be too boomy. Tight, focussed, defined - like Kylie's bum Hamster
5. I'm sure I'm related to Unlucky Alf from the Fast Show - cracking bass - no money - Bugger! Hamster
6. +1 for MarkBass Little Mark II, but into a BFM Omni10. That's a rig I'm seriously consideing ATM. Not a combo, but I'm not a big fan of combos. Hamster
7. One of many great lines from Aja Hamster
8. IIRC the Oxford Road station is the closest Hamster
9.
Hey, I'm a newcomer here.
... But not a newcomer to bass Hamster
10.
Although making higher offers after the end of an auction is perhaps slightly unethical
You are being far too polite. The item was sold. The seller and another then arranged or conspired behind the back of the rightful owner to deprive the rightful owner of their property. It's dishonest, disgraceful and illegal - NOT slightly unethical. The person in current possession of the bass should at the very least give the bass to its rightful owner at the original sold price and offer apologies. Hamster
11. You mean this site? - http://www.basscentre.com Hamster

¡Hola!

Hello and Welcome to the website For a first bass you chose a cracker! and you're going to have to put in quite a few hours on the fretboard to get as good as Mr Lee Enjoy! Hamster
15.
Ahhhh - thanks for that then, I won't bother trying to fix my dodgy attempt at an ebay link then Hamster
You must admit - the marks do look very very similar. The streaks on the neck and the 3 scratches on the scratchplate made me suspicious. Original auction New Item Hamster
16. Ahhhh - thanks for that then, I won't bother trying to fix my dodgy attempt at an ebay link then Hamster
17. Ummmmm - looks like it's back on ebay. Hard to be sure, but the streaks in the neck wood look identical? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MusicMan-Sub-5-strin...emZ330181727828 Hamster
18. If he insists you try and play one of his Country & Western compositions without any rehersal at all, then just play this bassline to it. Hamster
19. Play the easiest 3 you've run through, refuse to play the other 3 and insist on playing Rawhide, Stand By Your Man and I Walk the Line. If he argues, remind him the rugby is on and that's a game played by gentlemen, and a gentleman wouldn't have treated you the way that he's treated you. Hamster
20. What a bunch of ignorant barstewards! - Maybe a letter to local paper, BBC, rogue traders, local radio etc etc with your story to show ebay up in a bad light? Hamster
21.
Ha ha yeah but then there are famous tales of that, especially in cars Nova means "it don't go" in Spanish and MR2 pronounced in French means poo ...
Don't forget the Mitsubishi Starion - the next one up from the Colt. I think they do more work on the names now, or it would have been marketed as the "Frying" bass. Hamster
22. That's it, I'm going to start selling "Peckham Spring" water. Hamster
23. Damn! - I wasn't planning to sell one of my kidneys until I was a bit older  Hamster
24. Hello and Welcome! Hamster
25. Ebay don't give a toss - it's small beer to them and not worth bothering about from their point of view. Have you suffered a financial loss? - you might be able to take the seller through the small claims court, but all you'll get back is money owed. Compensation doesn't appear to be an issue either. Look at the guy still trying to name/shame Tune-o-Matic - he alleges, and suggests he has evidence that they sold him a misdescribed bass and he is seriously out of pocket - Ebay aren't interested. Just leave the seller stinking feedback and forget it - life's too short. Hamster
