If you can stretch to around £100 then you'd be in the ballpark for a much better amp like a Line6 Lowdown 110 or Roland Bass Cube 30. Search the marketplace here for a secondhand bargain. Also, try searching this forum for 'practice amp' - there are a few threads asking similar questions and are packed with advice

Did you try and upload the image or link to it?

Apologies for the inconvenience that this bug is causing. We hope to install the bug fixes very soon.

More pics courtesy of Mr & Mrs Silverfoxnik ".... and this is what happens to the space/time continuum if you get your compressor setting wrong.." ".............. it says, "made in China??!!...." I once had a try-out for the GB tea making team! Upsetting one of the neighbours!

Not so sure in green. I had a nasty fungal infection once that looked a bit like that.

Received and added! - many thanks!!
Colin and Nik - I'd still like to pay towards the cost and/or the charity fund. Let me know the best way to do this. Ta. Cheers, Steve
That's very kind of you - and typical of the kindness and generosity of many at the bash today! I'll PM you my paypal account name. If you send it as a gift I'll add the cash to the overall profit. Colin
We're trying the best we can, but truth be told, we're crippled at the moment from lack of technical support because we can't afford any.
I think instead of just asking for a very small donation from members selling in the marketplace (which a loyal minority give but the majority don't,) perhaps we could think about having a two-tier system of adverts where you can have a 'paid-for' for sale thread/advert with pictures, or members could choose a free 'non-bumpable' text only once-off single entry with no pictures. There are several forum add-ons that can give us this facility for the marketplace. I'm not talking about charging a lot of money - perhaps around the same money as a fee for a decent listing on eBay? Maybe we could do the same thing as a well-known 'across-the-pond' bass site and make posting a 'for sale' thread in the marketplace only possible for contributing members? I can turn that facility on now by fiddling with forum settings? However it might be fairer to start that on a future date (1st Nov?) so members can decide to go to either gumtree, ebay, cash converters or stick with Basschat for an under-cutting small donation? I know you've thought about (but decided not to) charging a small amount in the past, but it might be time to ignore the internet warriors who demand that 'free advertising' means free advertising forever and start making a small but seemingly essential charge? I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to see the forum struggle with the load an increasing membership (350 new members a week average) make on the current server load/speed balance because some members (and businesses) who sell quite a lot of gear on here have short arms and long pockets?

A genuine pleasure to meet some old friends and make some new ones. Very nice to put faces to names and names to faces! A very well done to those of you who got stuck in the appalling traffic on the M.25 and got to the bash. Even though we were due to finish at 5pm, we had some 4.20pm arrivals who left home hours before. We went on until about 6.30pm in the end! The raffle went better (faster!) and I'll be working out our overall profits tomorrow, because I need a few pints having been on my feet since 8am! Nige - really missed you mate, but I did use a large amount of gaffer tape to prevent trip hazards just for you
Just a quick reminder not to forget your Raffle donations folks! ... ..say that and I'll probably forget mine now.
My front door is covered in post-it notes!

Bugger - back to scratching my head then!

I might have a handle on this. If you use Chrome or Firefox, try opening up the forum when "private browsing" or "incognito" and hop around topics and posts to see how quick they load. (If you use IE - then download Chrome or Firefox!!) If you get normal speeds, then that will help me in the next step of solving it. Post your experiences on here please.

Re the refreshments for this year. Last year I laid on sandwiches and soft drinks which weren't great sellers, so this year I will stick with the tried and tested formula of tea, filter coffee and scrummy pastries. The local Tesco is only 5 mins by car if you need something more substantial.
Unbelievable slow today. Pretty much unusable for me.
I've been off & on since 5.30pm and it performs fine for me. I get quite frustrated trying to troubleshoot this sort of thing as I can't replicate the problem myself and all the board settings seem fine
Lookin at the list: is no one bringing any juicy compressor pedals!? I'm doing my homework and would lurrve to try some out on my rig
I could bring my Rothwell Love Squeeze if you like?

Pete - PM me if I can give you a lift from the train station if you travel by land snail. Colin
I can bring another plug board if we only have the one
We were a bit short of those last year.
I still get a 405 error page if I try and search in My conversations.
We should have a new grease monkey soon to try fix this sort of thing

I've not seen Jake play much dubstep - perhaps he's really diversifying?

I think I 'broke' this when trying to fix another issue! I'll go downstairs and pull a lever and press a button or two.

IE is the best browser for downloading better browsers such as Chrome & Firefox!

I don't think the forum software providers are going to make it more Kindle friendly, but I think the Kindle browser will get better as it's developed.
