Just checked my 'fretless' search again (for sale forum) and discovered some recent updates (under a month old) as late as page 21 (out of 31) mixed in with updates from 2009/2010 on the same page. That sounds like it's consistent with Sphinx indexes being out-of-date with the main database, possibly related to the cron settings we were looking at yesterday. Any chance of giving Ben a prod ? Andy
I know Ben is busy, but it's a simple job that I can do - but I will ask his permission first in case I make 'magic smoke' lolz

I think this is an issue with the 'frames' function in the website html. Until we can fix it, try a 'right click' on the link and open the link in a new window/tab.

It's proving to be a little tricky mounting the new search engine on top of the old database - but we continue to fiddle / tinker / hit the server with a hammer..........

It's in pretty good condition and has a newish set of Sunbeams on it. The preamp has been upgraded to an Audere 3ZB - http://www.audereaudio.com/3ZB.htm which is a very big improvemement. I did a little review of it here ( which also has a couple of pictures) - http://basschat.co.u...n-board-preamp/ The Lakland is an excellent working tool for anyone who uses (or has a use for) a 5 stringer without breaking the bank. It's got a killer low B and the action on this one is really sweet - a pleasure to play. Cash wise, and with the Audere fitted I suppose I'm looking for £450, and I'll include the original Lakland preamp if you want it. If you uninstall the Audere it'll leave a small 2/3mm on the top where the battery condition LED is fitted. I don't use this anymore and have already replaced it on a '1 in, so 1 must go' basis. However, the eternal ache of GAS affects everyone! The only bass I would consider in exchange would be a Fender Jazz (with a proper thin Jazz neck) in sunburst with rosewood neck - with money to you or me if appropriate. As it's peeing down outside, here's a couple of pics I took when it was nicer weather!

Dave & Paul - I've deleted all your notification settings on the database so you are both set to receive nothing. Have another go at setting your notification preferences and see if they take effect please Colin

If it is only this site which you have problems with, it may be because you have information from this site stored on your PC which is either incorrect or corrupted? Apologies if this is egg-sucking time, but things that I have done to my PC include: Log off Basschat - clear all cookies, and clear all your various caches (both browser and Windows 7) - http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/clear-windows-7-cache/ - Re-start your PC and log back into Basschat Also - make sure your whole system is running the latest versions of everything - http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html Make sure you don't have a browser hijacker/malware etc - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ Hope something here may help?
At home I use Chrome - no problems as described; At work I use IE 7 - no problems as described now (although the forum did not display properly until Ben ironed a few things out 2 weeks ago) On mobile I use Opera and Safari - both again no problems as described. It's very hard for me to fix something from my connections/browsers which all work fine for me If I could re-create the problem then I could try and trouble-shoot it.

Could it be a Win7 64bit thing? Haha where do you want me to start? (most of my issues have been mentioned throughout this thread)
I found IE8 on an old PC cover disc and installed it earlier this evening. For the last 2 hours I've gone through every page of this thread (and other threads) trying to re-create reported problems with my brand new install of IE8. I just can't 'cause' the faults you (and others) are reporting - everything works how I expect it to work. Sorry - I really wish I could help!

Looking at the software package, the software providers have changed the search engine and it hasn't 'knitted well' with the older version we've updated from. It's an acknowledged bug and I believe it's addressed in the latest bug patch release which we're in the process of obtaining/installing.

'View New Content' -> 'Just items I follow' completely broken here - FIXED
Hamster replied to BigBeatNut's topic in Site News
I believe that this issue is addressed in the latest release forum bug patch. We're just waiting to get it installed. -
IP have just released an update to fix issues that some users have reported - I'll see about getting it installed.
I'm still having this problem with firefox & explorer - when trying to upload pics I get an error message with "upload skipped" - I have cleard the cache and logged in again but the same thing is happening - any ideas ??? Thanks, Phil
It sounds like you are using the flash uploader? - Either try the standard uploader, or Make sure you have the latest flash installed (delete your old flash & restart PC before installing new flash) Or maybe try changing to the default IP Board skin (theme) and try uploading again Please let me know if any of these suggestions work!
