1. I've used a Lakland 55/01 for several years. I've never had to use anything else for any gig.

6. Hi all, and Happy New Year! At the moment we are getting a very large number of Spam accounts being created (happens most years around this time) and so in order to filter them out:- All new accounts will be subject to Admin approval until further notice. This will make the sign up slower than just an e-mail validation, but the Admins will be checking the validation queue several times a day to make sure no one waits for too long. Thanks for bearing with us. Hamster
7.
Price for the GB mate? you gotta put one up
Word
8. If you use firefox, there's a download plugin you can click on, then you can convert from flv to mp3 using flv converter
9.
I asked for a pic of The Fender Marcus Miller , and casually said i could come round and view it at the weekend. So we will See what happens.
I said I worked in Norbury and asked if I could pop along during my lunchtime to look at the bass. - "hello, i do not have any additional pictures of this item when my pa's friend went through and tested all the gear he just made sure everything was working and we put them back in their boxes/cases where they are now. i can ask him if he knows any answers to your questions" I send in a fraud report
10.
Im looking for the best replacement strings for my lakland skyline 44-01. The strings on it according to the lakland website . What type of strings do Lakland basses come with? A. Most come with Lakland custom stainless steel roundwound mediums, .045”-.105” (add a .128” for 5-strings). What would be the best replacements using these same specs. (4 string) Thanks in advance Alex
IMHO Lakland and DR strings go together really well - try the Sunbeams for warmth, HiBeams for zing and Fatbeams for in between
11. IIRC there's a member here who works, - or used to work for the PRS - I'd be interested to hear their opinion, as a lot of us are clearly interested!
12. In series - yes, you'll have a load of 12 ohms In parallel - NO, you'll have a load of 2.6 ohms
13. It might be an ultimatum from his missus for him to tidy up their sitting room!!
14. I'll probably trade/sell my Stingray 4 and get a Stingray 5 or maybe even a Bongo 5. I might also consider a custom build 5 with the same finish as the MM Black Onyx.
15.
Barefaced Midget T is brill, did a 500 seat venue, no pa support with shuttle9. massive bottom C's on 5 string, no farting. On the back of this I sold my Epi ul410 and ordered a Compact to beef up the Midget in big gigs, but I think I'll be doing most gigs with Midget only. It was a close call on ordering a second midget as it is so good, but I weakened and thought the Compact will give even more big bottom.......we'll see!
Alex brought a couple of the Midgets to last years bass bash - an unbelievable amount of sound and bottom end for something so small and light.
16.
When I last ordered some covers (a couple of months ago) I used... http://www.AmplifierCoversOnline.Com easy ordering, good communications and the covers turned up in a week (when they quote 2). Covers were fair price and of the quality I expected. I have no commercial association with this company, this is just my honest feedback.
That's the shop front of Roqsolid covers - I've always had brilliant service from them.
17. I've used Interparcel before - they're just a shipping agent with little control over the couriers they use. Big UPS fail on this. Anyway - I ordered a giant box of Bass from a fishmongers in Moffat for our Boxing day kedgeree and the idiots from UPS have just delivered me a new bass guitar - are you sure you don't want to check what's in your box, because if it's full of rotting fish there just aren't enough emoticons on the forum for you to use!!!

Octave pedal

No love for the Digitech BSW?? - IMHO it's way better on it's octave setting than the ones mentioned - and more versatile, and cheaper too!
19. It's hard to tell from the camera angle whether it's just the string being fretted or whether you do a lot of tiny string bends, especially on the A string there? Loving the Bongo as well
20. Brilliant amps - a very good score for someone!
21. I like this one - but the male vocal harmony part is a bugger to get right!!
