Getting use to playing ,slowly.now pedals, what do they do, how do they need to be set up. sorry but i've no idea.
If you want to explore another way in which to spend cash, I can recommend a Zoom multi-effect pedal to give you a good idea of what effects do. Some people turn their noses up at these, but for what they do I actually quite rate them - http://www.dv247.com/guitars/zoom-b2-1u-ba...r-supply--30692

Popped into this pub last night to see some friends try some new songs before they tour. The pub manager is very keen to promote music and will provide his upstairs function room for free - capacity of around 60 and fairly central if you're London based and looking for a venue to try stuff out. Chuck Norris is the greatest bass player in the world because he can play every bass simultaneously. See here for proof - http://www.chucknorrisfacts.com/

I'm really not sure if the EBS rigs give me the sound I like, but Mr Goodfellows basses are certainly growing on me............
hi i have a "marshall 2001" 375w head i might be selling.. does anyone have a rough idea how much its worth? cheers
It depends on its condition, and whether it has a full set of working valves? Without more info and pictures I'd say between £400 - £1400
-
A +1 on the JJ valves - don't bother with the Mesa tubes - they're just re-branded Chinese ones. If you're near Surrey there's only one place to go - http://www.stevesamps.co.uk As for the value of the amp, as it is with no faults apart from the re-tube needed and if it's in good condition, you've got to be expecting more than £750 for it, probably more if the buyer can get cheap tubes.

Building a 2X10, advice would be appreciated

I wasted a lot of wood and time creating from scratch my own cab builds. Having learnt the lesson I can wholeheartedly recommend Bill's easy to follow plans and proven designs - http://www.billfitzmaurice.info/Jack.html -
Hi all, It's with regret that I have to inform you, that this build will not happen. I had originally made a deal with user Shinhoman (a.k.a. Dan Cookson) and have also paid something like ~£70 in advance for the build, but status now is that I have not heard from him in ~6 months time. He does not reply to any emails or PM I've sent. I have no idea why this is, but I guess there are a couple of possible reasons: 1. He lost interest and didn't bother to inform me or pay me back, 2. He's in prison, 3. He's a fraud. You take a pick. Over and out (and a lesson learned). /G
He logged into this site yesterday, so you should hear from him very soon. I suggest you PM Shockwave if you continue to have difficulties.

I think Robert Palmer played some bass, or it might have been Frank Blair.

Put your location in your profile and a local basschatter might meet you for a set-up in exchange for a pint! - especially if you live near me
