2.
These pickups are available in two different versions. One set is designed to be wired in parallel, and the other in series.
Which version are these please?
 3.
Who was this bass_ferret chap and why was he banned?
Multiple Personality Disorder perhaps John?
 4. I quite like the look of that bass - any issues with it?
 5. I don't know if GMAudio are still in business? - The guy there was/is a Trace expert. If you don't mind shipping I can recommend Steve Rowse without hesitation - he's brilliant. - http://www.stevesamps.co.uk
 6. Have you had a browse through the sticky topic above? - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=198
 7. I also  DR Sunbeams. I have DR's on 3 of my basses - Hi-Beams, Fatbeams and Sunbeams and I'm sure that when I look at them side by side the Sunbeams aren't quite as shiny as the others because of the nickel content? Can you A/B a set on their colour? edit: - I also think they have a slight hue to them, like an old sixpence - I know you remember them!
 8. I've been watching Andy Billups from The Hamsters for years. Rock solid and totally effortless playing.

 10.
I take my basses to a chap called Jack Ellis up in Salford, so if you're in the Manchester area he's a possibility. He's a top guy to deal with and I've never had any problems, always documents exactly what he does and will re-adjust your bass free of charge if the set-up isn't quite right or it settles in and starts buzzing or anything... I think he's on here as "gabson" or you can get hold of him on 07706828122 - tell him I sent ya =)
Added - Thanks
 11.
I can recommend Nigel Stockbridge in Richmond, North Yorks. http://www.nigelsguitarworkshop.co.uk/ I've had a lot of work done over the years though not on bass's. He can repair or set up anything, very clever man who deals with a lot of famous people. Also Steve Suggitt. Lives in West Ayton near Scarborough is another luthier I have used. He builds all kinds of guitars and does repairs and setups. Very talented man. http://www.chapelguitars.com/ And finally, Martin Dixon http://web.ukonline.co.uk/mdguitars/ Can do anything. I've seen bass's that he's made and they are simply stunning! He's in Otley near Leeds. Hope that helps. Tom.
I've added the ones who you've used - Thanks

 13.
I fully trust in Rüdiger Ziesemann from Bassline Basses in Krefeld, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. He did a splendid job with my WAL 5 and our "Hybrid" WAL fretless project (http://www.bassline-bass.de/). Cheers Oliver
Added - Thanks
