1. Where is the book ATM? - Time to pass it on yet?
2. Adjust the bridge saddles in small increments, i'e' put the allen key in and turn it just a quarter of a turn on each screw, then retune the strings and play. Keep repeating the adjustment until you get where you want to be.
3. I'm pretty sure David L Perry used a BFM rig for some time? - try a PM to him
4.
Can anyone interested in having a set-up done on the day please add their name to this list, thanks? "Just to say that Graham Wheeler has kindly offered to come and do set-ups on the day and talk about how he approaches doing them. He's not so keen on doing a talk to a large group of people at once but is really happy to talk to people who have any particular questions.. The charge for a set-up will be £35 and if you are planning on having one done, please remember to bring your own choice of strings with you on the day!! To get the ball rolling and so Graham knows what amount of work he can expect, it'd be good if people could list their names here or PM me, thanks:" Set-Ups List: 01. Silverfoxnik 02. Hamster - as long as I get all the bits for the bass I'm putting together on time! 03. 04. 05. 06. 07. 08. 09. 10.
5.
yeah, it is, i was really looking forward to it, but my dad can't go any more, so i can't go!
Railways? - £24 from Nottingham to Woking?
6. Bought a nice pair of Wizards from Chris - excellent chap!
7. Possibly a real Chinese firecracker of an amp - possibly an easy bit of tweaking to make it sing? I expect it has a cheap PCB holding it all together - I really don't know why they don't do a simple point-to-point tag board circuit - simples.
8. Learn the song at home, learn to play the song together at rehersal. Perhaps he's just really striving to get the solo off 100% so the band sounds good, or maybe to make him sound good? - either way it's worth a chilled pint about
9. I was in Vienna a few weeks ago dam it!! - Mind you I spent all my money on beer and grub! Gorgeous bass!!

11.
Excuse the noob question - but I presume you just pay on arrival? Or what's the procedure?
Just bring lots of gear and lots of cash (no cheques or credit cards!) and pay on the door
12.
Only problem was, they expected to use ALL our gear with nothing being said or arranged beforehand. Aparrently, it's what they do. They all have equipment but turn up at other people's gigs without their stuff and expect to play.
Merde!
13. Either fit a block or the better option is fitting springs to all 5 mounting points on the bottom of the bridge to keep the whammy bar

15. Great work Nik! Just a couple of extra thoughts about what you all should bring if attending: A multiplug trailing socket and extension lead - because the law of sod means there will be waaaay more amps than sockets! Some earplugs - as your definition of 'loud enough' is an entirely personal perspective! Not long now!!!
16. I bought a few things last week by phone, they were in the next mornings post - impressed!
17. I'll try and put an answer here soonest!
18. Thin Lizzy - but it might of had an ever so small effect on the band!
19. Try Stevie - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showuser=914
20. PM'd re the GAC J style LINED FRETLESS neck and body and the birdseye Tele neck.
21. That is really, really, really nice - if only I had another £1k in my sky!
22. A quick google search on your IP address and e-mail show that you're a serial spammer  Spam obviously keeps well in Antarctica - goodbye from basschat.
23. The string vibrates, which makes the wood vibrate, which affects how long the string sustains for, and the density of the vibrating wood cuts or enhances certain frequencies. You won't hear it much on an active bass with a lot of boost, but should really hear the difference the wood makes on a passive bass with a piezo pickup. Without the wood vibrating and playing its part, would an upright bass work?
