1. It would also affect how much power was distributed to each speaker. Depending on which way you wired them, one speaker will handle 33% of the output, the other 66% - i.e: with a 100watt amp, 66watts and 33watts.
2. I've waited longer than 10 days before. You've done everything right so far, don't get too uptight about it. I'm pretty sure paypal will resolve the dispute in your favour if it goes that far.
3. I think the first thing would be to ask your council and ask them what they would consider reasonable, both in terms of frequency of practice and volume levels. Then as long as you reasonably adhere to their guidelines you should be litigation free.
4. If you tell us where you are, you might find a basschatter who lives close to you and will show you how to do it for the price of a pint? - or 3 or 4 pints if you live near me
5.
One of the best sounding cab's I've had was a 4 x 12 Tech Sound Systems cab...... I loved it!!!!!
I think a few people here have tried that cab, and again - good reports.
6. I've heard nice things said about these - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=40713

9.
If your MIM classic 70's jazz is mint, I'd start around 350. Sounds reasonable to me Someone's sure to snare it at that.
+1 Depends on how fast you want to sell it
10.
Metal does itself no favours image-wise, with all the stupid songs about dragons and satan and pixies and hobbits or whatever. It's only ever going to appeal to people who read fantasy novels and attend sci-fi conventions.
You say that like it's a bad thing!
11. John East or Audere will both produce what you're looking for.

15.
The problem is that the qualities required of a driver to run to low frequencies at high output in a small box also result in a very low midrange output, demanding a midrange driver; the Acme cabs are an example. That adds to the cost of the cab, as do woofers with extremely high excursion and power capacities, which runs counter to the desires of both the consumer and manufacturer, both wanting to spend as little as possible.
What we need is someone who really knows about self-build cabinet design to come up with a light and compact design that pumps out buckets of deep bass using the above spec bass and midrange drivers. I'd pay for the plans and build it myself to keep the costs down!
16.
Not necessarily. Hoffman's Iron Law allows you to go low and loud while remaining small, but at the cost of sensitivity, which means you need more power and a driver capable of using it.
So I can see that being true with the ACME's for example? - smallish and lightish but with an excellent low bass (so I'm told) but they need a big amp and a lot of watts to drive them. Is there a market for a very small and light cab that has tremendous bottom end but with 'shockingly' low sensitivity? I would be quite happy to keep cabs small and light but with a huge bottom end AND carry a powerful but light amp around.
17. It's nice to have a preview of Coldplay's next two songs That is how Chris Martin does it isn't it?
18. I'm thinking about going into GAK to see if they do these conservative basses:- But I think a spalted maple top would look better, and the body bindings should be Neodymium to save weight, and I don't fancy that standard Rotosound string so I'll have to change that. I'm also worried about neck bend so maybe I should ask for twin carbon fiber trussrods and also put some LED's on it so I dont get lost on a dark stage? Any more thoughts on how to improve it - or keep it as it is and be a bit more organic?
19. Apart from the lighter speakers, there's also less structural support for the speakers in the cab so the actual cab will be lighter too. I remember a post somewhere about there being a slight bump in the upper midrange frequency response with Neo magnets but I'm pretty sure my ears won't hear that!
20. There's also Martin Sims 07768 401186 www.simscustom.com in Ashford Kent
21. That bass is just a little overpriced - to the tune of around £250 notes
22. It's sort of ok, ish. Wouldn't mind a play to see if I liked it.
23. Sounds Like a Markbass LMII would be worth a try out?
