1. In it's purest form it's a bit like American folk music, but the Country & Western spewed out now is just so much pop fodder
2. A bit off topic, but I have to go against the apostacy here!!
3.
Get your knife with cracker and cheddar When you see your wife in leather Break your backs with a axe by Jackson If you wish to prevail This ivory axe is what propels me Harpoons thrust in the sky Aim directly for his pointy headstock For cheesy metal is his rockworld White cheese - leather pants
...........and a song is born!
4. Try copying []4P8NruGwH2c[] and then put youtube inside the first set of brackets and /youtube inside the second set, and you should get this:
5.
How the hell do you embed a YouTube player here? Beyond me completely I'm afraid!!
try OPENSQBRACKETyoutubeCLOSESQBRACKET then the last bit of the youtube vid, such as the 4P8NruGwH2c within the url http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFi80b6TX24, and then OPENSQBRACKET /youtube CLOSESQBRACKET So it looks like [ youtube ]4P8NruGwH2c[ /youtube ] without the spaces
6. In it's raw form a Boss CS-3 is good but too noisy, however a modded one, such as Monte Allums Opto Plus Mod - http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.html#cs3opto would be quite sweet for compression and sustain.
7. Hi Glennoooooooooooooooooo, I'm sure you'll find plenty to keep you interested on here!
8. Very rock 'n roll! I'm surprised they didn't try and sting you for "overnight secure storage" !
9. They're both pretty mild tubes, the only difference is probably a different shaped heater or something. Unless you really know what you're doing I would just use a replacement with a very similar gain factor, or things might start frying! There's a little guide here for that very valve series:- http://thetubestore.com/gainfactor.html
10. I presume you've put an ad for what your want in the wanted section of the forum? - you never know what other bassists will tempt you with!
11. I'd just go for it. Obviously try hard to get as many of the songs as you can in your pocket and search t'interweb for tabs/videos. Until I'm up to speed with my notation again, that's what I have to do.
12. If I ever get to play regular gigs I think I'll be investing in one of these - or maybe a LM MkII
13. Hi and Welcome to the forums! Judging by your location, you might be up for the next South East mini bass-bash (whenever that will be?)
14. Very hard topick out one, but overall I'd go for Tal Wilkinfeld too.
15. A +1 for the Line 6 Lowdown 110. Very good indeed as a small practice/noodling amp, it's very light and only a 12" cube in size so it takes up no space at all.
16. As long as I know the bass line well enoght I'm ok for backing vocals and harmonies, but not quite up to lead vocal standards. The thing for me was just learning to play the line almost unconsciously.

Another prompt delivery on the doormat this morning! Excellent service again.
18. Probably more knobs than you're looking for, but these are pretty good - Line 6 Lowdown LD150 - http://www.dv247.com/invt/35052/
19. Hi Biro - Welcome to the forums! Good to have you here - enjoy!
20. Carol Kaye will be along in a minute to take the credit for this!
21. I believe that you should run a test signal through your speakers for 24hrs or so before you play through it to run the speakers in. A bit like running in a car. http://billfitzmaurice.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=1858
22. Just change the title to withdrawn?
