2.
And FWIW i'd rather have your ray than that modulus, i know it had lane poors and all, but the finish on your ray is beautiful
Shame it's only worth about £575 now
3. Hi Shaun A nice collection of, er, a bass there! No, seriously - that's a really nice bass which you should sell or trade quickly on here, or here:- http://www.statii.com/forum/forum/viewforum.php?forum_id=9 Did you play all the instruments on your album? - sounds pretty good. Oh, and welcome to the forums!
4. Preamp has got to be in the £100 - £150 ballpark depending on condition and finding the right buyer!
5. I bought a BFM cabinet from David. Thoroughly nice guy to buy from Cab in excellent condition and very well constructed. Well packed for delivery and excellent communications. Cheers
6.
Hi there, I'd be interested in the bass, please send me a Personal Mesaage (PM) Regards Neil [email protected]
Hi! Here's a picture of the bass - I'm sure you'll enjoy gigging with it and get lots of admiring looks from your fellow bassists! I can confirm I've received your payment of £14,000 by Western Union
7.
Has anyone else responded to this ad? I've emailed and PMed and have yet to receive any response whatsoever
The position has been advertised in several places, and as she's removed her e-mail addy from the first post I wouldn't be surprised if it's been filled.
8. Hi Carla, & welcome to the forums I'm sure you'll find a lot to get your teeth into on here - enjoy!
9.
imo, the b2.1u is one of the best value units you will buy: floor effects pedal with expression pedal, some of the best digital effects iv tried, headphone amp, recording interface, drum machine, what more could it have?!
Have you tried the Korg? - it's the size of a pack of playing cards and I'm dead impressed with mine. I agree that the Zoom pedals are really good value for what they are, I had a Zoom 506-II which was pretty good.
10.
Hmm if it was left with the natural wood finish it would look great in my house!
Your house is made of 1/2" birch ply and held together with drywall screws???
11. I really should have sniped this one - it went for very little money!!! The market's still crazy low for Stingrays
12. Korg PX4-B, or PX4-D. Great little headphone amp / effects module / drum machine / recording interface etc etc.......... read the blurb - http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=PX4B
13. That should have it's own horror movie made about it!
14.
What would you say was the going rate for a 5 piece band to be sat on a boat for 8 days on the trot, with a gig every night over that period - bearing in mind it'll include Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, NYE and New Years Day.
With or without the £3000 bar tab you'll run up
15. The market is still low, although maybe picking up a little. Not a lot of fretless Stingray 5's about, but would hazard a guess at around £800, maybe £875 if very new and immaculate or with mojo factor.
16.
Sounds good - could keep costs lower and allow for more charidee money possibly? Keep forgetting to ask how your audition went?
Hi Martin Audition went well thanks, "We've never sounded so good" was a positive comment, but they gave the gig to another bass player who was already playing in 3 other bands. They thought his gigging contacts could help re-establish the band and generate more bookings. Ces't la vie. As for the venue, it looks like this:
17. Ummmm - quite nice. I'm becoming very fond of my Stingray. I think this will go for around £700 - maybe shockingly less if people are scared off by a total lack of ebay feedback - so you might be in, unless I snipe it!
18.
Just got word back from Ashdown. The amp's going to be available in Jan 2009 at a cost of £1600-£1700!
£1600!!? - No-way Hosé - sorry Ashdown.
19. P l e e z e people, stop adding to this thread and bumping it up on the radar - I'm desperately trying to justify not buying one of these amps as a backup!!!
20. And when I find myself fallin' for some girl I hop right into that car of mine, I drive around the world! Yeah I'm a wanderer, yeah I'm a wanderer .............
21.
I've got the same one, but the fascia on mine has a habit of rotating, which means the blanking sheet doesn't match up with the LEDs - very confusing when it says you're tuned to P...
I play in that key all the time!
