1. http://www.pinopalladino.com/ IIRC he's playing bass for The Who ATM
 2. Another possibility is the way the leads are wired. I had this problem and found a couple of XLR to XLR leads were wired wrong. With a 3 pin XLR you have screen, centre hot and centre cold, each to their own pin. Someone had wired the centre cold to the screen pin, which made an earth loop. You also get XLR - jack leads where the screen and centre cold are wired together, result - earth loop.
 3.
That's pushy American parents for you
I wish my parents pushed me to play the bass at 10
 4.
I know that the Aria one benefits in as much as you can take the body frame apart for easy storage/transport. I must say I am slightly confused by his payment terms (in bold at the end of the listing)... is the bass £150 or £160?
Something fishy about his blurb about payments. What's this ebay policy about ebay not releasing the funds to me until you have received them and left me positive feedback? - Surely that can't be right??
 5. +1 on OBBM - send him a PM
 6. There's a sort of fault-finding guide here that might be of some use. It's for guitars, but the principle is the same. http://www.guitarnuts.com/technical/electr...ouble/strat.php
Now I am quite good at balistically adjusting people's attitudes from a distance but I'm in civvy street now and not allowed to do that sort of thing anymore
 8. A big +1 on DR strings. Sunbeams, Fatbeams and Hi-Beams are all really supple and a pleasure to play with.
 9.
I had this for Christmas last year, it's in excellent condition, boxed with all instructions and power supply. I just bought a DL4 so this isn't needed. £75 including postage.

Sold to the semi-aquatic egg laying mammal
Mrs Tinman has bought some bass gear?

 11. By searching through - members - newest joiners, you can see the spammer / spambot is still creating accounts to get in. I wish I was better at computing type things because I want to launch a DOS attack at their IP! (or something like that )
 12. I've put Sunbeams on the Stingray, and Fatbeams on the Sub4. I'm really loving the Sunbeams Maybe it's my ears but the bass sounds louder. I read DR's blurb about their string's metal content giving better output - maybe they're right? I'm getting the exact range of sound sound I want - very satisfied. The only way to describe the Fatbeams is that they're a stainless steel Sunbeam - all the warmth and lovliness but with a bit more treble.
 13. Welcome back Chris - there are some basses for sale somewhere.................
 14.
Does anyone know if this spamming of BassChat could explain why access by me, of the forum, is suddenly blocked at my work (my personal account not a public/pupil accessible account I hasten to add), as I've been able to access BC prior to a couple of days ago!
If your connection is through a corporate firewall, the sexual swear words and references might have tripped the content filter and banned access to Basschat Happened to me with Bassworld - couldn't view it for over 18 months until it went offline and got re-incarnated.
 15. Another one just appeared in repairs/tech- reported to mods
