1.
I'm crazy too, who'd want a well finished 2013 jazz 5 with perfect frets, nice hardware, nice dark finger board, super thin urethane finish and lighter than almost every P bass I've ever played? Flash has spoilt the picture, it's more brown in the flesh, tort looks better and the rose wood is darker.
Damn - I like that a lot!!!!
 2. I sold a 2014 American Deluxe 5 Jazz recently that was seriously brilliant. Very well put together. 1. I'm playing a 6 now. 2. I'm not a fan of block and binding. I know you can get builds from other manufacturers but I'd love a US made Fender Jazz with 24 frets, ebony fingerboard with dot inlays in 4, 5 or 6 string configurations
 3.
...a 2013 Fender us jazz five with an aguilar preamp I fitted...
Ooooooohhhhhh - how did the fitting go? Photos handy?
 4. Post-2012, I think they're relatively consistent. I played probably close to 20 American Standard Jazz Basses in 2013. I'd say maybe 5 were average, 10 were good and 5 were great.
 5.
Still on sale?
Hi - on hold pending payment.
 6. Thanks Guy - much appreciated. Hope you're enjoying the Jazz mate.
 7. My experience has been consistent with the OPs. I played with some awesome drummers but they all have something going on. One was brilliant when he was sober so rehearsals were always good because we all had to drive there but he would get trashed at gigs and then he would turn into a nightmare, picking fights with people, cracking onto the singers GF, etc. We had another drummer who was amazing musically but just so, so unreliable - he would never be on time to shows, etc. The guys I have played with who were not mental were never all that good.
 8. Super fast payment, great communication and all round top man. Hope to deal with again.
 9. Sold today to a lovely gent. And here is my final photo of the '64 with the buyers beautiful and original '62. 11. Bump...and a nice discount for anyone using Euros!
 12. Had the same issue mate. Annoying isn't it!
 13.
Looks fantastic. How about a pic minus the pickguard? 14. Cheers Ambient. Was on hold but buyer has unfortunately been unable to gather the funds together.
 15. Wow. A stunning example right there!
 16.
Nice. Love the black and gold headstock. I bet it plays beautifully. That's a heck of a bass for the money. GLWTS.
Cheers - yes you can get a real Wooten sound out of it. If I was playing 4s I'd definitely keep it.
 17. I recently acquired this beautiful Fodera in a part exchange trade deal but I'm pretty much only playing 6-string nowadays. This is a Fodera Monarch New Standard made in 2004 and verified by the folks at Fodera. It's a bolt-on mahogany body, birch top, three piece maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, angled headstock, EMG P/J pickup configuration and two band EQ with the volume working as an active/passive switch. The bass is in very good condition with only a slight ding on the upper part of the body that is very hard to spot and can't really be photographed all that easily. The neck is perfectly straight and can be adjusted to a very low action as desired. The frets are in very good condition and well levelled. The bass weighs approximately 8.8 pounds (4 kilos). The bass comes in a generic hard case with the truss rod tool and Dunlop Straplocks. I'm based in Bournemouth, Dorset. I would consider a trade for a 6-string Fodera or a 6-string Ken Smith with cash adjustment. I'm not looking for any other trades at all. 18.
Thanks for this. To be fair, the slither of wood isn't normal; someone's stuck it in there, presumably to work like a shim to raise the neck. I just wanted to make sure there was no damage to the neck, but I guess there isn't. I'll message you; hopefully we can do a deal. Best, Johnny
I was told it was normal by a reputable dealer who checked my bass over and who sells a lot of pre-CBS Fenders. I'll be more than happy to share that information with anyone who requests it by PM. Here are some links found via a Google search about Fender shims which appear to back up what the dealer said. 19.
I could be interested. Couple of questions. What's with the slither of on the back of the neck? Is there damage underneath? And, is there any overspray or touch up in the front? There seems some discolouration in the area around the bridge pickup and above it. Perhaps it's just really overarm rubbing. Thanks, Johnny
Hi - there is no overspray or touch ups and I'm told the slither on the back of the neck is normal. The discolouration, I'm rather ashamed to admit, is grime. I've thought about cleaning it all up but am a bit afraid of using something and damaging it.
 20. SOLD today to a lovely bloke. Here is my all original 1964 Fender Jazz Bass. It's all honest, natural wear and tear - I've owned this bass for the past 20 years and I've really looked after it myself - looks pretty much the same as when I originally bought it. This bass really plays beautifully with an arrow straight neck, fully working trussrod, electronics, etc. My bass playing needs have changed and I'm primarily playing 6-string nowadays so after considerable deliberation, I've decided now could be the time to sell it to someone else to enjoy. If you've got any questions, please fire away. I'll certainly add to this description based on things I'm asked and things I remember. I'm based in Bournemouth, Dorset. I would consider a trade for a 6-string Fodera or a 6-string Ken Smith with cash adjustment. I'm not looking for any other trades at all. 21.
You're looking in the wrong places, there's some on here way lower than that
Is there? I've not seen any? I've seen a lovely pre-CBS Precision on here but no Jazz Basses.
