2. The mix engineer will need to 'sit' the bass with the kik i.e. decide which will win the low end battle then from there they'll be able to shape the mids around the rest of the track. A touch of drive/distortion, such as PT LoFi plug will help bring the bass out more. You could speak to the mix engineer about your concerns. As a general rule they'll be happy to receive guidance on how a track should sound - reference material is v. useful!
3. Anyone interested? Anyone? Anyone? (Looking around the room) : )
4. New price on my T-Bass but the Editor won't let me change the existing price - NEW PRICE £600 Or Trade for Fender Precision. Cheers - Andy
5. Anyone out there wanna make an offer on the T-Bass? Ah, go on, you know you want to!
6. As I'm after a Precision (Ideally with a Maple neck), and a Jazz at some point, are there any willing traders out there? I've been checking out the Vintage V4 series and like the look/sound of them so I'd happily consider that type 'o' thing - Unfortunately, I don't have Fender USA cash at the moment not if I want a P and J! Post/courier would be a deffo option - just to make that clear as it was a bit vague in my original post... Thanks again.
7. Thanks guys!
8. Cheers Bert and Wojtek!
9. I'm new to Bass Chat so I thought it would be polite to say hello to you all! So, hello! I'm Andy and have been playing for around 30 years - I started during the Mark King/Nick Beggs/Henry 'King Thumb' Thomas slaptastic days! Current basses - Trace Elliot T- Bass (which is for sale) and a Squire Precision (One of the Vintage Vibe ones I think - really nice and cheap too!). Amps - Eden Traveler and Eden 4 x 10 but I've just bought an Ampeg Portaflex, which is dead simple to use and sounds great. Currently playing in a Mod tribute trio (The Modest) playing plenty of 60's/soul and Northern soul plus a big dollop of The Jam. Also, play in a Hammond quartet (The M-Set) doing instrumental versions of Northern Soul classics. Our first release is due out early next year. Cheers folks Andy
10. I've been asked about the weight of the bass so I thought I'd post it in case anyone else needed to know - 4.3Kg/9.48lbs. Cheers

For sale: NEW PRICE £600.00 or Trade: for Fender Precision 4-string T-Bass by Trace Elliot. I've owned this bass from new but don't get to use it anymore due to a shoulder problem that doesn't allow me play a 24 fret neck for more than 5 minutes at a time (Tut!). There are a few knocks and a patch of buckle-rash on the back, which can be seen in the photos. It's a lovely sounding bass and is currently strung with Flatwound strings. I'll happily provide more info if needed so please ask away. I'm in the East Midlands so could deliver to that area if needed or meet at a mutually agreeable place. I would also consider posting if necessary. Anyone is welcome to come and try the bass... Thanks for your time Andy
