4. Warwick 5.2 Profet Bass head (500w) £300 - Brighton Specs - http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/DISC-Warwick-ProFet-52-Bass-Head-500W/C22 Bought a couple years ago but then got my hands on a Mark Bass combo and used that as my main gigging rig. Kept this solely as a back up so it's barely used. Some scuffs on the top but purely cosmetic, great versatile piece of kit. I also have a matching 4x10 Warwick cab I was going to keep but if somebody is looking for a full set up I will upload pictures of both tomorrow. Pick up only. Thanks
5. Carvin R600 - £325 - Brighton Carvin R600 Combo.. It's loud. 600w and the head has lots of built in effects such as Compressor, Noise Gate and optional Graphic EQ. Used to be my main but needed something more portable as I don't drive (which means pick up only also I'm afraid!.) Hasn't been used for a gig in years. Sits in my house and gets used as a practice amp but I can't warrant keeping it anymore. If you have an questions feel free to message me, will upload pictures tomorrow Thanks
6. Hey guys, I have the mark bass CMD 102p 2x10 combo, I have recently started playing with a samba band and the bateria leader thinks my amp won't cut it as it's only a 2x10. I've never taken this thing more than halfway on gain and volume and it's always covered it but as there are 8 percussionists it is quite loud.. Is there a risk of me blowing it up if I take it up too high in gain or volume or is it designed to cope with it's max volume/gain settings? Thanks!
7. Damn my work computer, won't let me on here! Can't wait to check it out when I get home though!
8. My funk/soul/hip hop band Lady Luck and The Late Night Players (www.facebook.com/latenightplayers - all likes appreciated and reciprocated!) are playing The Roadhouse in Birmingham tomorrow night. 10. I regret ever looking at tab! Now that I'm struggling to learn to read, I wish I had just hit notation since the start, I'd be able to read so much better..
11.
had an older version of one of these and a four string great basses
Yeah I'm sad to see it go to be honest but I just don't use it enough for the stuff I'm involved with at the moment :/
12. An overwhelming sense of well being..
13. I'm not sure, I think I have some scales I can weight it on. Alternatively feel free to come round for a go on it, or I can drop round with it for a supervised visit if you'd prefer to try it through your own amp
14. Bought as a gift and sat in the box up until recently when I thought I'd give it a go. http://www.bossus.co...p?ProductId=852 Really cool settings on it, three settings including an octave above whilst fuzzing, sounds great for lead stuff.. Unfortunately I don't really have much space on my pedalboard and the fuzz is getting subbed out! Only used once for a recording session but never taken out gigging Will post if required. Will consider a swap for a decent compressor or something else fun.. Cheers Jack
15. Great Bass but I'm out of the six string game. Features a 5-Piece maple/wenge neck and is a neck through build. Flamed maple body with a rosewood finerboard. Has Bartolini mk-1 pickups and an anboard pre-amp so it's a really versatile piece of kit. The guy who owned it before me said it had custom hipshot tuners, not sure if these are standard with the model but they are amazing for staying in tune. Can upload more pictures on request. Edit: Will consider 5 string trades Pick-up ideal but delivery can be arranged. Thanks, Jack
16.
Thanks again. Looks like you can spend weeks or months on this progression and not get to the end of it. Thankfully i live in the country. No city neighbours would put up with this.
My city neighbors have grown weary of ii-V-I licks.. I'm pretty sure they could have developed perfect pitch by now though
17. Hello.. I've just done the donation to Basschat do I can use the sales forums. Do I need to wait for some sort of confirmation or can I use them now without fear of thread removal? Thanks!
18.
How did it go? Scrape through or was it comfortable?
It was comfortable for the most part, a bit shaky at the beginning.. To be honest I think I was fully capable it's just the nerves of it that got to me. The keys player was one of my University Lecturers (he got me the gig) so that kind of put me on edge more than anything.. We did get to play Watermelon Man though... Niiiiice
19. I survived!
20. So I've just found out last minute that a gig im depping required me to play a 45 minute jazz set before the toe party band sets. I have never 'jazzed' live and slightly concerned about soloing.. I can walk through chords but soloing is something I have barely touched on if at all. Any ideas?
