Scott S replied to Scott S's topic in Basses For Sale
Scott, good on ya. The Thumb is a great bass. I had 2 6 strings once....... Man I'm a bass whore. Enjoy and pics when it arrives please
I'm really looking forward to this one, Matt, as I'm new to all things Warwick. You don't have to wait for the pics, mate, they're all here on Kert's ad'..... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/253056-warwick-thumb-nt-92-sale-or-trade-price-drop/page__p__2674013__hl__warwick%20thumb__fromsearch__1#entry2674013 -
This was my bass initially. An absolutely stunning bit of kit. If I could've kept it, i would've but Vigier kept calling me. Someone is going to have many happy years playing this
You're spot on, Matt, it's an amazing bass. But after a brief flirtation with the idea of the ESP I've now succumbed...to the Thumb! -

It's in perfect condition and plays beautifully. As seen above, it comes with all the associated case candy and an SKB case. Any questions then just drop me a PM. I'm happy to courier at the buyer's cost. I'm having difficulty attaching any more images, but if you send me an email addy then I'll forward some on. Cheers, Scott (based on the Wirral).

ESP Ltd RB signature bass...Rocco's latest squeeze.
Scott S replied to Scott S's topic in Bass Guitars
Looks promising. Interestingly enough Guitar Guitar currently have ESP basses on sale with BIG discounts!
Yep, already there, mate, but before I can indulge myself I'm going to have to off-load my 2012 US P-bass 5-string. Oh, well, here we go again! -
ESP Ltd RB signature bass...Rocco's latest squeeze.
Scott S replied to Scott S's topic in Bass Guitars
Haha, yeah, Rocco not only with a 5-string but also with...drum roll....A SIX STRING!!! (to be fair it does come as a 4-string, and in some less "striking" finishes). Apparently, the bridge pup is so placed not to be specifically used on its' own but more to be conservatively blended with the neck pup. Confusing...? Perhaps...but the Manga Japan Bass Boy is far from confusing! -
Hi, fellow Bass Chat peeps, Hmmm...the ESP Ltd Rocco Prestia model; I'm GAS'ing for this big time, especially the 5-string! I'm just wondering if any of you have had the chance to check it out and, if so, what are your thoughts with regards to sound and playability. Cheers.

Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones 4 String, White Pearl/MN...**SOLD!**

Yeah, yeah, I know that I said on my recent 50'S P-bass ad' thread that..."The Lakland is going nowhere"...but, what can I say, I really am an idiot and nitwit. To be fair, there's just so many nice pieces floating about on the For Sale forum (especially Warwicks of the bleached and dirty variety ). Factor in my being broke and, well, most of you can empathise. I took the DJ4 in a trade/cash deal. It's in perfect nick (I can't see a ding anywhere) and it's sleeping in a comfortable, generic, hard case. The previous owner has fitted a set of Bartolini J-Bass pups ("dual coil/bright neck/deep bridge") and I'll include the original Lakland Vintage J Single Coils. Swamp Ash body Flat Sawn Maple neck Bound Maple board with block inlays/21 Frets Delrin Nut Hipshot Ultra-Lite tuners White Pearloid pickguard Volume/Volume/Tone controls Lakland Dual-Design bridge Sorry, but I'm not looking for trades on this one. Based on the Wirral, Merseyside but I'm happy to courier at the buyer's expense. Happy New Year, y'all! Cheers. Scott.
Ha! Scott apologies... it would have helped if i'd clicked onto the link showing your P Bass for sale and showing what ACG you're after... missed that part of the discussion my point was that someone with a mexican P bass declining to trade with an ACG (unless specifically after a particular one or a specific sound) needs to seriously consider the value of the trade and instrument they are being offered. If i owned a mexican P and someone offered me an ACG i'd drive about 200 miles that day to trade before they changed their mind! (no offence to mexican P bass owners )
Hey, no apologies required, buddy, my comment was with tongue firmly in cheek and I was grinning when I sent it! (I'm a qualified mental health nurse and probably do need my head examining ).
-
if you're after a specific sound for a band situation i'd go with the squire cv and buy it cash. there's no way i'd every get rid of my ACG (the guy with the Mexican Fender refusing to trade must need his head examining!!). Just get the cheapest nicest tool you can for the job, and then you have a back up bass too
No, pal, the guy with the Mexican Fender refusing to trade doesn't need his head examining, he's just looking for a specific ACG that he actually wants.

http://www.bassmatte...s-lacquer-10341 Okay, slightly over budget but cash is king and the price may be negotiable? But if you're looking for total value for money the Squier Classic Vibe 60's P-bass in Fiesta Red is a no-brainer. I had one of these about 12 months ago and I was blown away by it. Even at the full RRP the CV is worth it!
Lozz, I tried to swap him my ACG Graft Gallas for that Classic Series, but he wasn't having any of it. And the japanese Duck Dunn model is a little too roadworn for my liking.
If you're looking at spending sub 1000 Euros you could always have just bought it, lol.
