1.
Squier Jazz body, black, plywood unfortunately.
WYSIWYG. It has buttons, w/b/w pickguard and control plate, and a pair of active pickups of unknown origin.
The body is fairly scruffy, a few scrapes here and there, one particularly deep on on the back. And as you can see, it's been drilled out for a body-edge jack socket (a standard rugby-ball plate fits).
Oh, and it also comes complete with two stickers courtesy of my son :)
Free to a good home for the cost of postage (about 8 quid, according to the RM website) or you can come and pick it up.

Please note that I am a lazy bugger and can't be bothered to take it apart, so it goes complete. :)

hi,

I'll have it please. PM me how you want to be paid - paypal, cheque?

2. OLP ERNIE BALL STINGRAY BASS. £165 or make me an offer.......Final Post before I keep and mod.

This is one of the older models (date unknown) with clear lacquer over the body - before OLP started to put the mock 'tiger stripe' overlay on the front of the body.
The neck is Maple with maple fingerboard and 21 frets and has no noticable signs of fret wear.
will probably need new strings....and I chipped the nut yesterdayso, will need new nut
The bridge, control plate, knobs, neck plate and tuners are all chrome finish and are all in good condition. one vol knob feels slightly 'loose'.
It plays well and sounds great, the large passive humbucker pickup has two volume controls and one tone control. Setting both volumes full gives a Musicman sound or turn one back to give a more Jazz bass bridge pickup sound.
This is a great bass but I prefer active basses and am selling the OLP to fund an active 5 string, I'm also not keen on maple fingerboards (preferring rosewood or wenge).
OLP were licenced by Musicman and were made with much more care and far better components than a cheap branded copy,
OLP stopped making these in 2008 when the licence was withdrawn, The popular opinion being that they were so well made that people were buying them and upgrading them in preference to the much more expensive Musicman, so these are becoming scarce and desirable now.

I will be sorry to see this bass go but I have too many basses and I have my eye on an active bass. She who must be listened to says "one in, one out"!!!

Could post but collection/meeting up is preferable.

any interest ?

these have been going on eBay for up to £185 recently so....for basschatters I will let it go for around £165 or make me an offer!

may be interested in trades for active 5 strings (ie spector, jazz bass, warwicks)- not too pricey though - or jazz bass (squier VM, parts etc)

any more info, pix etc - contact me.

The Worry Beads no longer - there's an established American outfit of the same name. We are now This Uneven Sky. Album coming out next month...I may mention it once or twice on here :)

Edit: edited my sig now. :)

Hi Muzz,

will look out for album. best o' luck with it.
I sometimes wonder where the bass went - heard it may have been in bonecat and the neck may have been taken off it - dont know if it was true though.
I traded it to a guy in Burnley.

cheers,
mike.
hi Muzz,
late reply I know...

this was my previous P bass - a 1959 - black with birds eye maple board!! - bought in Oldham!!
this pic is with original scratchplate:

this is with black scratchplate - and 10 years more wear on the paintwork!!

sadly, got rid of it in 1995.

PS: i was a Worry Bead for about a week!
(left when Dean did)

7.
I used to use this case for my Dean Stylist but since I got rid of that a while back, it's just been under my bed. Its in good nick, no tears or anything like that and could be used for any bass I guess if you're not too fussed about a perfect fit.

Pick up from Didsbury, South Manchester or could meet in Stockport.

Here's a link to it in GAK-

hi,
do you still have this?
I need a case for my Crafter 4 string acoustic - then t may get to leave the house!!

cheers,
Mike

8.
I have 10 old and unused Rotosound B strings (9 x 125 and 1 x 130) - all roundwound - to offer anyone who needs one or two for the price of the postage or personal collection from London NW3. I also have 3 used B strings - one clipped short allowing minimal winding on the string post and one with no thread at either end, the third is probably a Rotosound.
Hi,

what were you looking at for postage?

I'd like a couple of the 125s - means I can buy 4 string packs.

cheers,
Mike

9. this is identical to the one I had late 80s/early90s.
awesome sound from the EMG selects.
I bought a 5 string version but the PUs had changed to jazz pick ups - not the same sound.
I also had a fretless steinberger shape version too - great sound.
wish I'd kept my Jack now. lightweight, great sound. really tempted with this......................

10. oh, whilst I'm here!

it's a 1964 by serial number - has sept, nov or dec 63 stamped on neck - i forget.

all original bar scratchplate, knobs and black finish - may have been green originally but was in a bad way when I got it so had it rebuilt/refinished by Brian Eastwood - lovely to play. light and super low frets/action.

11.
You should do some better pics mate, and put them straight on here. People paying 5 grand for a bass probably want their balls tickled a bit.
LOL!! :)

a ball tickling and slightly less than 5k may prise my '64 P from my grasp!!
