  1. I just take the stand that if I’m the high bidder I get it if I’m not I don’t. Not going to offer extra. If some one is looking for a bass at a budget and people work together to find one in that budget I can’t see an issue with that either.
  2. Long tall sally - little Richard snap! Freight train - joan baez
  3. This one is very tidy: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402919180648D I would replace the pick guard though.
  4. White light white heat - velvet underground
  5. It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing - Ella Fitzgerald
  6. The neck is definitely fixable- one good thing about the budget black finish is that the repairs won’t show once retouched.
  7. Yep - I was looking for one of these for a while and as they mid 80’s and “cheap” they have frequently been gigged.
  8. They are pretty rare but do crop up - one on flea bay at the mo: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234048726358
  9. I think the return and full refund would be enough legally but if I am not a lawyer! I agree as a gesture of good faith they should give you a credit note or knock a few £ off.
  10. Depends on how you want to proceed with this. They are in clear breach of the trade descriptions act. They advertised it as 9/10 their mistakes are not your problem. That said they have offered a return and full refund so this would cover them of any liability if I understand this correctly.
  11. My baby just cares for me - Nina Simone
  12. I agree with this. There are also only so many combinations of notes in the world and subliminal music is everywhere. It’s not as if you need a physical device or a radio tuned to one of 3 channels or so to be exposed to it. Some similarities are unavoidable. I do find it a bit rich when some of the bands that have knowing plundered and exploited the blues musicians of the past go on a litigation spree though!
  13. Rock and a hard place - sisters of mercy
  14. Work is a four letter word - the smiths
  15. The only possible defence for this is in 1968 or so some hippie bought this used from a US pawn shop, dropped some acid and thought it would be a fun thing to do.
