  1. Fender Aerodyne P&J pickups. Used and fully working. Can include original wiring loom if required. £75 including postage.
  2. MIJ Hondo Professional. Early’80’s I think.
  3. Bought some Schaller strap locks. Quickly delivered and as described. Thank you.
  4. Saw the Pogues many times in the early years and live they were brilliant. Occasionally joined by Joe Strummer later years. Persuaded girlfriend (now wife) to see them at Brighton Centre and experienced exactly as you have described!
  5. Van Morrison and the The Be Good Tanya’s (separate gigs) same utter indifference to the audience bordering on contempt. Lacking any energy and just going through the motions. Pisses me right off TBH there are so many struggling artists that are as talented but often haven’t had the breaks or exposure that would give anything to be given the opportunity squandered by the likes of Van Morrison. Cantankerous, miserable waste of a stage. Yep I wasn’t impressed.
  6. Out of interest where are muziker.co.uk based (it’s not the UK)! I read a load of negative comments on line but took the gamble and ordered anyway (Fender neck) no additional fees and one of the quickest and easiest web purchases ever.
  7. There’s a Squire Classic Vibe one in the accessories for sale section...
  8. There was a thread a while back that said the Status graphite ones fit I think? A genuine Stingray neck definitely doesn’t fit a Sterling Ray34 as I have tried. The neck pocket on the Ray34 is marginally narrower... not sure about the SUB. If it’s a USA one it may fit. Will Ernie Ball sell a neck separately? I thought they were really strict on making clones/bitsa’s.
  9. Yes the value but that doesn’t just mean financial value. I don’t personally like Alembic or Fedora or even Status basses for that matter. It doesn’t mean I can’t see the craftsmanship, top quality materials or pure skill and technique it takes to make them. No way would I experiment on them without the required skill set.
  10. Keeping that on a need to know basis! It’s a 75 re-issue so did have to borrow a bench press and drill 2 holes... There were a couple of Geddy Lee necks available on Stratosphere a few weeks back...
  11. I had a go at routing some instruments with some degree of success in lockdown.. tried it on sub £30 rubbish though and worked up to a used Squire as I got a bit better... anything more valuable or scarce would definitely be taken to a pro! Its not just the value it’s the sacrilege... like taking an angle grinder to an e-type jag because you fancy a convertible now the sun is out.
  12. The mind boggles.. even if the seller didn’t realise or was wealthy enough not to care that this is a rare and expensive bass and wanted to mod it what would be wrong with a small and discreet battery compartment on the rear of the body?
  13. That’s one of the few double P’s where I really like the aesthetics. Is it a Hondo decal on the headstock? I would definitely buy another MIJ Hondo Professional if I saw one. QC is definitely not of the Tokai or Aria Pro 2 standard.. a bit of DIY is required but it’s a half decent instrument for small change (or was the whole lawsuit cobblers /mythology may have changed that)?
  14. I have one of said Hondo’s and would say it’s a very good bass. From what I have read online having sullied their reputation making some really shoddy instruments Hondo tried to revive their reputation by making instruments in Japan again in the same factory as Tokai. I have a MIJ Hondo Professional with the Dimarzios it is a lovely bass. I bought a Hondo 2 at a bargain price hoping it would be as good. It wasn’t
  15. To be fair you can compromise on most things but not the neck and pickups...
  16. The only jaw I saw was the one dropping when reading the price. £700 hahhaaahaaaha
  17. Great bridge’s these. The Allen bolt on the side just pushes the saddles together... not sure what difference it really makes! I used one on a project build and was a bit nervous because the “foot” to sink into body looked daunting but a sharp chisel and dremel made it easy! GLWTS bargain price..
  18. More details added and pictures of cavity rout, which I have tidied up. If any further info or pictures required please PM me. Cheers Alternatively if you have a Fretless ebony neck for sale please let me know... ta
  19. Karl Wallinger had a brain aneurysm just as World Party were starting to get some mainstream recognition... he is a really good song writer.
  20. Yep I can confirm that they look great together. Borrowed one recently and am now in the process of migrating to New Zealand so I don’t have to return it...
