  1. There are plenty of one man band ‘script kiddies’ out there making a PITA of themselves with the low hanging fruit.
  2. give give give me more more more - wonderstuff
  3. TBH there are so many scammers about combined with fosters poor couriers that for anything over £50 I would only meet and collect/pay in person.
  4. The only downer to this is a lot of websites have a criteria that is pretty weak (8 characters, a number, specific special characters) and reject the stronger password. Same with some of the password managers which can also be a little too vigorous in jumping in and trying to “help” with creating or changing passwords. I use them but can be more hinderance than help to elderly parents! MFA (2FA) is the best solution wherever possible.
  5. This. A password manager is the simplest solution. If you are really old school and have to write things down try a simple option. Choose a few words that make sense to you eg if your born in June and drive a blue Golf then JuneblueGolf could be a core part of your password that you remember. Each subsequent site could be appended with a unique new part which is written down: Basschat =bC1) so password is JuneblueGolfbC1) and so on. Not perfect but better than repeating the same password and easy to remember and keep track of. Even if you are phished and a hacker gets the core password they are unlikely to spend any time even trying to guess or brute force the unique 3 or 4 characters of a different site.

  7. I don’t recall them having a high mass bridge, but maybe earlier ones? Mine is from mid nineties:
  8. If all crypto, digital banks like revolut and wise, paypal, gold and other mediums of exchange are shut down by governments and central banks alongside all fiat currencies then the above may be valid. Otherwise it’s just a bit alarmist. Society may well phase out cash for the same reasons that barter became unpopular. It’s just a bit inconvenient to carry a chicken around.
  9. Cash will be around for a while yet, but the ease and convenience of digital alternatives will see it’s gradual demise.
  10. That’s MM Bongos out then. Possibly some of the best sounding bass guitars ever IMO.
  11. Fender Aerodyne Jazz Great bass in good used condition. Japanese made 1994/95 Currently strung with flats. V. Light weight basswood body with rosewood neck. The Aerodyne range are highly regarded for good reason IMO with the only major downside being the stock pickups which are fairly weak for a premium instrument. I have replaced them with a Geezer Butler PJ set which is a massive improvement. Every time I pick this bass up it sounds great and is a joy to play but (and it’s a big but for me) I just don’t like the body shape or ergonomics of a Jazz bass. It’s in excellent condition for its age with only a slight mark from pick near P pickup (see pictures). Very happy to consider trades with money going either way for either a Lakland PJ, G&L JB2 or other narrow neck non offset bodied bass.
