  2. I think he looks like a tool. Until I remember he’s nearly 60. Then I think I look like a slob.
  3. Im not sure Rock has ever been as predominant in the general population as we think. Certain musicians are remembered as they wrote such decent music it survives across many generations but a quick google of uk top selling singles of the 1960s, 70s and 80s shows that other than the expected Beatles and Stones many of the legendary artists barely have a foothold. Sure they had a big sway in the music press and album sales but were not as omnipresent as would be expected. Most of the bands I loved in the 80s and 90s made far less money and received less airplay than Banarama or Wham!/Bros. My kids definitely play songs by Stone Roses, The Cure and The Specials though and haven’t even heard of Bananarama. I don’t think rock is quite dead yet, it’s just having a lie down.

  10. When geekiness and obsession are banished from the world vintage guitars will become worthless and it will be safe to take those star wars figures out of their boxes and put the stamps on the envelopes. Until then I suspect there will be a market for them.
  11. Digging through my dusty and neglected vinyl collection and playing Bob Marley and the Wailers, Exodus. I haven’t heard it in years. Seriously how can one man write so many good songs in a lifetime, let alone on one record.

  20. I’ve experienced it. The pole pieces are all height adjustable though so it’s not a difficult issue to solve.
  21. Without boring you all with technical jargon (SPF, DKIM,DMARC) There are various reasons your email may not be being delivered - or may have been delivered to spam/quarantine. I would always follow an email up with a phone call these days if I haven’t received a response.
  22. I don’t mind it when members of the band are introduced and get their moment in the spotlight but as a general rule I don’t like a solo on any instrument.
  23. what is hip? - tower of power
  24. let the wolves howl at the moon - super furry animals
  25. The warehouses won’t be full of complete and ready to go instruments though. The supply chain is still in a mess so likely to be in various states of build but not ready for shipping. Fenders business model is bizarre anyway. As has been mentioned already the Japanese made instruments and many of the Mexican made ones are now premium instruments around the £1000+ mark. Custom made US build would make more business sense. The USA is also in recession by standard economic definition so Fender may be planning ahead, however in a country as large and diverse as the US recession is hard to quantify.
