1.
PM'd re Hiscox
Replied!
2. First up Hiscox LiteFlite Case: SOLD nEar05 by ES1 Monitors Mixed my band's EP on them but have only used them once or twice since then and have some Tannoys now. Mint condition with two speaker leads that I bought at the same time. £160.00 posted and not sure if I want to sell this but if someone makes me a good offer: Ashdown ABM300 300w/8 Ohms, Limited edition chrome finish. This is one of the original made in the UK ABMs, not the EVOII. I bought it from the Bass Centre in 2001 so has been around a bit. VU meter bulb doesn't work but the meter does, tube blend pot is a bit scratchy and there's a few scuffs (it's played a fair few gigs!)
3. I've been thinking about replace my EBS 4x10 with something a bit smaller, can this handle a bit of dirt? I use a Spector through a Fafner with drive on the head...
4. Had some interest in these, few more details: Drivers are Celestion G12-T 100 Dimensions 745 x 510 x 360 I will be getting scales tonight and will post up weight later.
5. I've got one of these and had the 'clunk' as well, bought a loop pedal and have the wah always on, just switch the loop on when I want to use it.
6. Got them on a couple of weeks ago but only had the first loud practise with them on sunday. Very impressed. Needed a full setup which was easy enough (truss rod, action and intonation) and although they are a bit slacker than the 135s I was using the tone is so much better! Not as woomphy as the thicker strings but still a nice thick low end, definitely more defined on the lower frets on the low C as well. Need to play with the EQ a bit now. I'll update as I play them but first impressions are very, very good.
7. Weight isn't too bad, certainly lighter than my ebs 4x10... unfortunately I have no way to weigh them properly Missing nut on the link output (left jack socket)
8. Used these for a couple of years as my main rig, both 300watts @ 8Ohms. Switchable horn off - low - high Speakon in [s]and link[/s] was wrong about this! Link on the jack sockets only Jack in and link (one cab is missing the nut around the link socket) Signed by Adam Clayton. Spoke to Martin Burrows at Ashdown when I insured them and he said to replace them it would £1500 each. £500.00 for the pair Collection in Sussex preferred but can arrange to meet somewhere for a bit of petrol money. Pics to follow later.
9. I would never buy anything from Music Ground again. Bought a B302 from them in May, paid over the odds because I really wanted one and it arrived broken. Got messed around trying to get them to fix it so decided to send it back for a refund instead, which I finally got last week after getting my Credit Card company to get the money back (sent the bass back in May!) Was told the refund had been processed every time I rang, one time they even said they'd fax me the refund receipt (surprise surprise it never turned up) Shame really because it was a nice bass and if it had been working I would have kept it and been happy!

11. Dunlop 1.14 Gator grip - tortex used to slip around but the gator grip is the answer to sweaty hands
12. I got a mighty mite fretless neck from the states for about a £100, would probably need to do some sanding to get it in though.
13. 2. My little bottle has lasted me a few years now
14. These are designed for Drop C my friend
15. I have my Spector LX35 tuned to C G C F with 5 string elite stadiums 130 - 105 - 85 - 65 but have just received a couple of sets of Newtone 'Drop C' 105 - 85 - 65 - 46 (off the top of my head). These are handmade strings with a thicker core, and apparently tension @ low C won't be an issue. While I wait for a new nut from Spector (whose customer service has been awesome as always!) I was just wondering what tonal differences I can expect? I've always felt the 130 dies off quite quickly so hopefully I'll get a more consistent tone across the set? I will of course provide a full review when I've got the nut, but was just wondering what people's thoughts were while I wait...
16. Love this tune (the Fleetwood Mac version) but don't have a clue where to start with the walking bass line, any scales I should look at or does someone play it in a covers band who can give me some hints? Cheers
17. Played at The Barn in Porstmouth on thursday night, great venue, great promoter and a great crowd. First time we've had people come in to listen to us. Was very hot but didn't matter much had people outside listening. Even got a review!
