  1. This is the badger - usually go for £2k+ - this particular one is for sale in Manchester at £2.5k
  2. Apparently the one to get is the Japanese Black Paisley version but they are very rare and usually eye wateringly expensive. It was the full Floyd that gave it away...a lot of Japanese and USA Strats had the Fender licensed unit rather than the pukka Floyd.
  3. Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro Elite Gibson SG Standard Godin Acousticaster BC Rich Assassin NJ Series Neck Thru Over the years I've had various Gibsons ('74 SG special, Les Paul, Firebird) a Washburn double cut-away carved top Les Paul junior shape - that got stolen, Jap strat - all sorts really. The one I'd like back most is the wine Les Paul standard with the premium plus top, or the 80's Ibanez Roadstar RG440 - that was lovely!
  4. We can get the latency down to about 60ms with cable - outside of their own recommendation of > 40ms but it is usable in our situation. I obviously can't say that it'll be fine for all. I think the app is dated 2014 but they did have an update recently. WiFi is a bit of a no-go for us as we found that the latency increases to approx 250ms. Most of the latency issues come from external internet connectivity, not from our gear. We have a variety of interfaces including a Focusrite Scarlet 2, an XR18 and a TC Helicon Play Electric pedal. An alternative to a wifi connection might be the network over mains option from companies such as TP Link which our guitarist uses without too many problems.
  5. I'm using JamKazam in a three piece acoustic band that we've just started up - works pretty well and is currently free. You might want to try that.
  6. Currently go for an old iPod Touch running iRig connected with an Apogee Jam when travelling and never had a single latency issue with it,. Currently waiting for the iOS release of Positive Gird’s long awaited Bias FX 2 - their macOS plug in is absolutely incredible and at home that’s my go-to
  7. It is what it is for now. As I said though, I’m happy to pay for the cabs (assuming the current potential purchaser doesn’t want them) and leave them with you until this all changes. It’s not like I need them for a gig or anything 😉
  8. I guess I could always remove the head and see if mine fits, and if so then do the swap out - screw positions look identical to that in the cab currently...hmmmm! Let me know what the answer from the current potential buyer is. Are you able to hold on to them until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted? Happy to pay for them beforehand.
  9. Do you know if the old MiBass heads fit into this plate? If not, does it wok just fine as a pair of cabs with the head sitting atop? If either of of those options are good then I'm happy to pay for them now and wait for the end of the world to pass by before collecting them Photo of older head attatched!
  10. Myself and one of our guitarists used Skype with no noticeable lag - worked fine for just a couple of us to go through some new ideas.
  11. Genuinely - my new Steinberger - I can sit at my desk and work with my bass literally in my hands...it's excellent!
  12. Have a listen - sometimes Mark Evans played the A through half of the verse, sometimes the A C A D A C A pattern, sometimes an octave A, but ALWAYS the A through the chorus until the final section
  13. Up there with bass players playing G note in the chorus of Whole Lotta Rosie instead of holding the A
  14. Currently 5 - it was 6 but I gave a P-bass copy to a young lad who was in greater need of it than I was 😎
  15. I run a Korg DTR-1 rackmount tuner - tracks superbly and never misses a note including drop D
  16. Last couple of gigs were The Dead South - an eclectic Canadian bluegrass folk band at a sell out Rock City in Nottingham. A few days later I witnessed the supremely talented Phil X (lead guitarist with Bon Jovi) and his band Phil X and The Drills at the much smaller Rescue Rooms next door. An amazing gig with a guy who is not only amazingly talented but also very down to earth and fun to watch. A bargain at £13.50! It beggars belief that there are 2nd rate bands selling out Rock City main room (not The Dead South - they were excellent!) and there were less than a couple of hundred at this gig. As someone once said - never confuse ability with popularity
  17. I work as a software support analyst for a software house specialising in transport management systems - strangely enough interfacing directly with any UK system designed by @Rich! I've been there 14 years and worked on systems from route diagramming, rolling stock maintenance and pantograph checking through to traffic management on the Western route, plus our signal control solutions and traffic movement monitoring across large parts of the UK rail network.
  18. Yeah - that'll go horribly wrong for you...as will sending delay to the reverb sends and vice versa! Good to see that you've made a more positive start. Check out the Behringer vids - there are some good things on there re setting up you XR18 with things like monitors, FX, EQ etc
  19. You know this X32 that you don't really have a need for...? 😉
  20. We have a default scene which was created in a large, bright, cavernous hall with a high vaulted ceiling at the loudest monitor and FoH levels we could tolerate - the theory being that if we started a gig with the desk set for the most unfriendly conditions we could think of then we're not starting off the night fighting feedback etc. So far this approach has worked well with monitors rung out, channel EQs sorted and in reality apart from a few gain/EQ adjustments the only real change we make to each gig is the FoH EQ curve which has a significant bass boost to compensate for the bright 'setup' venue. It's worth investing some time and maybe even bringing in a local sound engineer to help steer you in the right direction. We took this approach and it saved us hours of experimentation/head scratching. He also pointed me in the direction of a few tricks that I'd quite likely never have found or thought of myself.
  21. I didn't see this thread...and a good job as I lasted about 7 weeks before the Steinberger Spirit and a new Sennheiser EW100 G4 wireless setup found their way into my possession! Ah well..there's always next year!
