1. Thanks for all the replies, in great Basschat style as usual I've been inundated with offers. The bass is now on hold for Spikyhedgehog, pending money heading into my bank account. It does have a great look and I gave it a play this evening just to make sure I am doing the right thing. It sounds fantastic but I'm too used to the lovely smooth Lakland neck, opposed to the StingRay standard.
2. As part of my clear out, I'm going to pass on my lovely StingRay as I need the cash to thin out the collection. I've loved having this bass but I've managed to get away with just my Darryl Jones so here this one goes. It was previously owned by 'Ghost Rider' and before that, another fellow on this forum. Anyway, this is a rather good example of a 2005 Ernie Ball StingRay 2EQ. I've played it with TI Flats and you get a lovely warm thump but the StingRay growl is still there. The body is in pretty mint condition, with nothing major I could see. Comes with standard Music Man hardcase and strung with Ernie Ball Slinkies. I purchased this just before Christmas for £650 so would quite like to get a similar amount back, but open to offers Any questions, just let me know.
3.
Quick plug to say that Seb is a top man - great to deal with & super efficient in organising trades etc.
Thanks Barrie! Bump here for a lower price - £475. This is really a great bass, everyone who has them has sworn by them. Great sounding, not even a year old. Minus the dent, it's in great condition too. Any offers will be considered
4. Just to say that I am open to offers too, £500 is the sort of price I am looking for
5. Evening all, Making way for a beautiful Lakland Daryl Jones, I'm selling up a few basses and this is the first one on the block. What you are looking at is a 2007 Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, purchased from Sounds Live in Newcastle sometime last summer. I purchased this after having passed on my American Precision. It's stringed with TI Flats and sounds fantastic - with the thin glossed neck and 70s spacing pickups, it's got a unique sound with plenty of punch. It's been my practising bass since then to weekly band practises but has only been a backup for one gig. It's got a small ding on the bottom but that's pretty much it. I've have it with the pickguard off but will white guard will be included. Comes with deluxe Fender gig bag (not pictured but standard). Looking for around £500 - pickup from Durham, UK but happy to post. Will get a quote on request, guessing it will be around £25.00 or so. Not looking for any trades either - let me know any questions. This has been a great bass to me but I'm simply moving up to my dream combo -seb

7. I'm interested in this if your sale falls through! PM me if it does -seb
8. Sold to the lovely aljan, posted off this morning!
9.
you have PM
Thanks Muppett! The bass is on hold, I've had a cash offer from another forum member that should be sorted soon. I'll update post when it's sorted. Thanks everyone for their generous offers and messages, good to have so many kind people
10. Here we go - if you want pictures of something else, just let me know! The case is just the standard Fender hard case that all the Americans have with them. Also, throw any offers my way and I'll have think - open to all suggestions really
11. I did a swap on these forums a few months ago and got this lovely beast from a fellow near me. As I said in the title, it's an American Fender, manufactured in 2003 in good condition with one slight dent on the bottom. Apart from that, it's perfect. Currently got some Rotosound 77s flatwounds and it plays like a beauty, ideal for classic Stax or Pink Floyd playing. The body is Butterscotch Blonde with black pick guard, with a maple neck. I'm selling because I've got a new gig and need a Jazz Bass (again) and need this done by the middle of September and will have to take the eBay path if I can't get something sorted. Happy to ship or pickup from Newcastle in the North East. Comes with hard case, cable and yellow/black Fender strap. Looking forward around £450 for this. I'm thinking of going for a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass so I'd be willing to swap for one of these or a similar Jazz. I've got some photos but I'm at work so will upload them later today. PM me if you have any questions.
12.
very nice this is my ideal jazz almost if i wasnt left handed i would be after it. my parents live in wolsingham which is only a half hour from durham. small world good luck with sale
It was a lovely bass but I have fallen in love with my new swap so it's longer available people! I've got a 2003 American Precision from a local fellow. Precision + Flats is the best bass sound I have ever heard and played with, much nicer than anything I got from Jazz. Thanks for all the PMs and interest I have received. Seb
13. I don't know if I made it clear but I'm defiantly open to offers as well as trades!
14. I bought this in January 2008 for my move to my first [i]proper[/i' bass and I have very much enjoyed it. It's had no gigging - just practicing and a few studio sessions but I've always lusted after a Rickenbacker 4003 or a good old Fender P-Bass and feel that it's time to get something that'll work better for me. It's going to be sad saying goodbye but I feel a Ric or P will provide more thump for the sort of thing I want to do (British Invasion, Modern Indie stuff and 70s rock) It's pretty standard - two very mighty pickups and beautiful slim maple neck. Has a £30.00 pair of D'Addario Chromes on and plays like a beauty - was set up professionally for £25.00. Was bought for £800+ from a local guitar shop in North East of England. Original tags will be included. If you'd like to make an offer (instead of trade), please feel free and make it realistic! As I said, I'd love a Rickenbacker (age doesn't matter, must be genuine) or a P-Bass (American? Classic of some sorts?). If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Can be picked up from Durham, DH1 or posted in some form. Pictures galore....
